Current Housing issues - The Lack of Actual Housing

I am posting this as I am hoping someone from SE may be able to at least see the problem currently affecting large servers.

Housing

I shouldn't have to transfer servers in hopes of getting a house for my Free Company. Let alone the effort and timeframe to level it up again and waiting the 30 days to have a chance at housing.

The demo has been off for some time and only 1 - 2 houses have been up for lotto these past several months on my server itself. Several FCs and Personals are fighting for these houses. Only reason why they are up are people leaving the server or freeing them up because they don't want them anymore.

When when the Demo be turned back on?
When are new wards coming?

I have a personal. I would LOVE to be able to turn it in to an FC for my group but there is no option to. I could release it and hope that I win it back in a lotto but that is obviously not a chance I want to take.

But, if you give the option to turn a personal in to an FC RMT will run wild!

THEY STILL DO! People are still buying and selling FCs with houses and subs attached. There is a discord for it. People are charging nearly 5x the amount for the plot and people are willing to pay because of how bad it is just so they can give their Free Company a home.

Do I support turning an FC House in to a personal? No, I think the coding wouldn't work well and it could be used to force people out if there was just a disagreement. So I believe it should only be one way.

Either way, we need more housing wards, demo turned back on, or something because this is getting a bit out of hand. I will also add that wards that are supposed to be FREE COMPANY only have houses that will pop up available to personal buyers as well. Is this a bug or a glitch? Is it intended?

I am wholly in support of adding more (or instanced) housing. I was on Seraph when it was still new and still had to fight others to get a house. A small. In the Goblet.

Having to abandon FCs just to have a chance to participate in this system is unacceptable.

Really? There were many empty plots especially in Goblet and Empyreum for well over a year on Seraph and wasn't until late EW that Seraph was becoming competitive for housing.

The housing system is absolute garbage. We needed instanced housing years ago, but they'll lose all the subscriptions housing holds hostage, so positive changes are unlikely to say the least. Assuming they even care to read feedback anymore.

By the way: NA auto-demo was turned off on October 2 to help the people who were affected by the hurricane that devastated the east coast of the US. The EU auto-demo was turned off on November 7 because of the flash flooding in Spain. Some time is 2 months/less than a month.

I feel like the devs are doing a good job of maintaining the proper housing availability levels. Very few, if anyone, actually quits the game because they can't get a house. It's far more likely that players who become upset with the housing system end up using that emotion to become more driven and more willful in their own quest to obtain a house. That sounds like a net positive for the game, to me.

I definitely support adding enough houses to support everyone who wants one, but for now, you need to go where the supply is. That's just reality. Operating and making decisions within the infrastructure you exist in is the only thing that will get you a house anytime in the next year or so, and no promises for any time after that.

I mean, it's not my fault the intentionally homeless refuse to make a few alt service accounts, a shell fc, and then use their minimum 24 housing votes to take any house they want at any time. Sure, you need a few bil Gil to do that to larges, but then what else are you using Gil for?
