Request: Add an elevated section at Wolves Den Pier

Some PvP skills are notoriously strange when it comes to separation in the z-direction. With the training dummies and dueling area at WDP, there is currently no way of experimenting/testing how different skills behave when targets are above or below.

An obstacle would also be nice to test how some attacks go through walls.

There's some elevation at the dummies on top of the ship insofar as you can attack them from down the small set of stairs. The mast and railings can be used to intentionally block line of sight too.

Ah yeah. But I think what I really need is a ramp, a guinea pig, and a bottle of Bombay Sapphire. Possibly some Velcro.

I think the training dummies really leave a lot to be desired for testing.

Completely agree with the part about an elevated element.
(As a ranged class you can practice from outside the dummy area but if you are a melee class that probably doesn't work. Also if my memory doesn't betray me even when you are elevated, dummies will still get hit by AoEs that seem to cause trouble in matches. For example I believe to remember that the old superflare did work when I stood on the elevated platform at the Wolf's Den but in matches it's been reported to be really whacky when it comes to the z-axis. However I could also be misremembering this horribly.)

I'd also like to have a place where dummies stand closer together so you can check the effect of certain AoEs. The range of many AoEs is too small to reach the next dummy in the regular training area.

In addition, it would be nice if we could see shields on ourselves in some way even if we are not in a team (and don't have a party list), for example if we want to test how much bigger shields are under the effect of a healing buff etc. (Or just to visually gauge how big a shield is to begin with. "8k" shield can sound abstract. But "this much of the health bar" can make it a lot more tangible.)

    Lastly, I wish
    1) they could simulate death for skills and effects that require an enemy death as trigger (like Nin LB) and
    2) you could turn on an option for the dummy to "attack" you (deal periodic auto damage) so you can test the effects that rely on you receiving damage (like BLM's wreath of ice) or on you dying.

Yeah that'd all be useful. Better would be taking small groups into the actual maps like in explore mode but that's likely a ramp too far.
