    7.2 "formula" for Savage needs to CHANGE

    AAC Light-heavyweight Tier (Savage) was released on July 30, 2024.

    It has been 184 days or six months or 26 weeks and two days (taking today's date of January 30 as a reference point) since then.

    Unfortunately, despite the passage of such a significant amount of time and given the recent release of Cloud of Darkness Chaotic (COD) where you can farm without any restrictions BiS gear with ilvl730 I don't see ANY sense or reason why current raid tier is still locked and weekly limited in terms of acquiring gear.

    This formula is not working, and it needs to change in 7.2 onwards.

    Also, I don't understand why we're still restricted to obtain only 450 Tomestones of Heliometry per week. Why it's not at least doubled at this point, or why the restriction is not removed at all? This needs to change as well with correlation with removing Savage drop restrictions.

    In my humble opinion, after the set time has elapsed (e.g. 10-12 weeks) the entire Savage tier should be completely unlocked and the weekly cap on Tomestones should be doubled or lifted entirely.

    There is no real reason to NOT change that. Waiting for more than 26 weeks for loot restriction removal, while "soon" we'll be getting new tier raid (7.2) with new BiS items makes current gear obsolete in no time. It doesn't make sense to farm those items such late in a patch right before new crafting / normal raid / savage gear will drop.

    I absolutely agree. The cap itself on heliometry even in week 1 makes no sense let alone after 6 months. The tier should be at least unlocked after 3 months. The last tier (p9-12) was unlocked after 10 months.. like why the F?

    The mistake that SE makes is that for latest savages you just have to know where to stand so it's more a memory thing and not an actual fight based on your abilities which I find kinda rediculous...

    In my opinion it makes more sense that the harder something becomes, the faster and the more frequent boss attacks become... giving you barely enough time to dodge the aoe's but can still survive on the first try simply by having fast reaction speed and being able to handle stress. In this case you would be rated by your intellect instead of your memory. And lets be honest... why do people love competitive shooters for example... because they can prove they are better... not because they memorized all the camper locations...

    We got left right left right donut out donut out spread stack spread stack light party pairs light party pairs for a decade now and they literally don't know how to make any other kind of fight

    The priority is to change the fights design

    who cares about stuff, the only thing where stuff is useful is ultimates/criterion and it's content made for 1% of the players (even if I agree that they should unlock tomestone cap/savage earlier)

    How fights are designed is completely irrelevant when tiers unlock. This awful slog of pace became a thing in late EW. Mostly because SE was actively working on FF16 and wanted people to also have time to enjoy FF16.

    It absolutely makes no sense to still have it in place.

    Also if their team is so small because the FF14 game engine is dogshit and has no future plus it seems they are incapable of actually making a better inhouse engine, they could at least have the decency to transfer the assets into Unreal 5.5 or Unity 8.

    Small indie company please understand.

    Silly jokes aside, we all know this is because Square Enix is not considering the time passed in weeks, but in patch milestones for when to unlock what. "Savage will always be unlocked on the last patch before the next big one" and such. The devs should consider a more week based approach on unlocking the loot of instances at this point.
