What is the reason you're still subbed?

This is my second to last day of sub. I've unsubbed, first and foremost, because the writing in DT has been so consistently horrendous that it made me stop caring about both the world and characters. I'm not excited anymore about meeting new people or seeing new lands because it's all been so thoroughly disappointing.

I'm busying myself with relic grinds I ignored over the years.

I finished a DRG Lux, and have two more steps for the PLD HW Relic.
I grinded through Eureka for the first time, which I enjoyed a lot. Made over 20M selling drops from there on the market board, which is the most I've saved up at once. Finished WHM and SMN Eureka weapons.
Just getting started on Bozja and deciding what I want from there.
If I get done that I may go for the Lightbringer title as I never stepped foot in PotD.

Assuming this will keep my interest through 7.2 when they release the exploratory zones.

As someone who played minimally from ARR - ShB and have only consistently subbed since EW, I'm lucky enough to have some stuff to explore.

It is my comfort game much like PSO2 was. My friends, the roleplay, community and most importantly my endless love for a specific character keeps me subbed. I also like to help and I still have so many goals to achieve! I want an ultimate clear, the big mentor horse, clear any of the deep dungeons solo ! I just ...have to get over personal lumps and improve.

I've checked out of the story though the 7. story has been awful and I do admit this is the one story I took ages to finish and I plan to scene skip in the future if I do alt runs

TBH i have no clue why inm still subbed, i barely touch it anymore and even let my house get demolished ( it was surrounded by multiple open plots that used to have houses on them as well. been subbed for 11 years now and i think its time to pull the plug, the games dead atm and the devs dont seem to care or have a clue .

I'm currently unsubed (done April 3) because I'm just not enjoying the same old formula. I started in 2018 near the end of SB and I took a long break during EW. Just not enjoying the game as much as I used to and I honestly just log in and do routine things. Log in, gold saucer, teleport to apartment, check retainers, run some roulettes, log. I'm in in an fc and haven't really enjoyed them in the past so it's become a pretty isolated experience. I love my apartment and all the work I've put into as well as all my glam etc but DT story has been a big part of loss of interest as well. I wasn't really a fan of how they handled EW but it was at least a lot more interesting then DT...shame because with the graphic updates and a lot of the music and zones being beautiful in DT it Just fell hard and flat.

I've read comments saying people keep playing because of fomo and I am guilty of that 100% but the question has become "is it even worth it anymore?"I have nothing to spend tomes on since I'm not interested in playing or gearing other jobs and the story in 7.1 was completely pointless. I'll let my time expire and see how the game evolves over the course of this year. At the beginning I said I'm tired of the same old formula and what I really meant by that was gearing. It takes way too long that it discourages gearing other jobs in a game brags about being all jobs on 1 character...so if I were to switch, every single piece is a week plus a week depending on what you're doing.

I enjoy playing the game. When I get bored of it, I take a break for a day or two and play something else. But then I miss this game and want to get back on. There's a reason I pay the 6 month sub. I don't see myself quitting in earnest anytime soon. I simply log in and play the game. Gear up and level things I haven't already. Do treasure maps for money. I like doing these things, so I stay subbed. I know it's hard to imagine someone actually LIKING Dawntrail right now, but I do. Can't wait for 7.2!
