What is the reason you're still subbed?

What was or will be your snapping point. What needs to happen for you? Have you cut your sub money back? What steps are you taking? What is your motivation.

For me personally it's all on the next patch and if any of the following happens in succession I'm gone

* cosmic doesn't drop on patch
* savages are unnecessary difficult or unbalanced
* msq is a disaster like 7.1
* trial is boaring and not fun to farm
* shades triangle and is a slog fest with no interesting story and just a mindless painful grind like eureka
* no statement is made regarding dissatisfaction with content release schedule

I enjoyed the first 3 years on this game... the 7 that came after... not so much...
All these years I've been subbing without actually playing much simply because I thought that if I supported SE, they would eventually fix things or give us the things I wanted and kept begging for on the forums...
That sadly didn't really happen so nowadays I only just sub to hook up with people I like... but thats about it.. the game today feels bland to me.. it's always the same type of content we keep getting... nothing original.
I mean.. even the quests don't even have voices... on elder scrolls you don't pay sub and still every NPC has a voice which makes it feel more immersive... but they have the mistake of not paying enough attention to the models which seem low quality compared to the standalone version of the game.

Regardless to say... the game has potential but I keep hearing "spaghetti code" as an excuse meaning it might be time for SE to ditch this version of the game and give us a new version that allows so much more that this game doesn't...

Would be nice to build a house and people could see inside by looking through the window while being on the outside of the house...
Still... I should prolly not think out loud because it feels no one is listening anyway... I think it's turned into a situation where shareholders have become more important then the customer meaning they no longer want my money and I would be stupid to keep paying while getting nothing in return next to something I'm already fed up with, so I might quit the game at this rate.

I was for that ugly pvp fomo set. I got it so I can unsubscribe now. I should have enough time to grab the emote so I don't have to pay for it later.

But as a casual player, there is absolutely nothing to do. The live letter is soon, but we won't see anything from it till March, so why waste the money on a dead game for me? Easy choice.

Also, this community has gotten more anti-social and selfish lately, and it's honestly tiresome to deal with. I want to do a roulette and not get rescue yanked because I lost half a second on the pull. Now I have to report you and blacklist you. It's tiresome.

I've been playing it only since November a few months back, so this question probably isn't for me.

But I'm really enjoying it, and there's a tonne of content (I'm up to Stormblood's start). However I am aware of the terrible Wuk Lamat character (they sound like a social political box ticking exercise where competency wasn't a factor, something that shouldn't be in a game with 'Fantasy' in it's title) and am aware of the disliked Dawntrail story surrounding them. I hope SE will hard steer from that back to good writing and VA's hired based on their competency. But otherwise I also know there's some excellent story and character's prior to Dawntrail that I have to look forwards too.

I wouldn't blame people who have played this for a decade for having a break, a decade is good innings and sometimes good things can veer off course a bit. A break can help people find their enjoyment for it again.

Roleplaying community is the only thing that's keeping me subbed. Otherwise, I would have left after finishing Endwalker over pvp of all things.

Despite this, I'm still finding things to do with my time like jump puzzles and Deep dungeons. Recently, I decided to try and solo Sastasha without using a healer or a tank with everything synced. I may attempt this with the other dungeons if I can pass Sastasha. For the time being, I'm content.

This is my second to last day of sub. I've unsubbed, first and foremost, because the writing in DT has been so consistently horrendous that it made me stop caring about both the world and characters. I'm not excited anymore about meeting new people or seeing new lands because it's all been so thoroughly disappointing.

I'm busying myself with relic grinds I ignored over the years.

I finished a DRG Lux, and have two more steps for the PLD HW Relic.
I grinded through Eureka for the first time, which I enjoyed a lot. Made over 20M selling drops from there on the market board, which is the most I've saved up at once. Finished WHM and SMN Eureka weapons.
Just getting started on Bozja and deciding what I want from there.
If I get done that I may go for the Lightbringer title as I never stepped foot in PotD.

Assuming this will keep my interest through 7.2 when they release the exploratory zones.

As someone who played minimally from ARR - ShB and have only consistently subbed since EW, I'm lucky enough to have some stuff to explore.

It is my comfort game much like PSO2 was. My friends, the roleplay, community and most importantly my endless love for a specific character keeps me subbed. I also like to help and I still have so many goals to achieve! I want an ultimate clear, the big mentor horse, clear any of the deep dungeons solo ! I just ...have to get over personal lumps and improve.
