Crystalline Conflict Community Cup 2025 Contest (THE “PROMOTION”) OFFICIAL RULES

KEY RULES

A. Official Rules: The Official Rules for this Promotion consist of both (i) these key rules summarising the important rules for participating in the Promotion (the “Key Rules”) and (ii) the Additional Promotion Official Rules (“Additional Rules”) applicable to your place of legal residence. Please review the Additional Rules at the following URL:
B. Territories: This Promotion is open only to individuals who are legal residents and physically and permanently located in one of the following countries/territories at the date and time of entry (the “Promotion Jurisdiction”):
  • Europe and Oceania, excluding Russia, Belarus, and wherever prohibited by law.

C. Age Limit: This Promotion is open only to individuals 18 years of age or older at the date the event begins (i.e. the Round of 16).

D. Entry Period: You may enter the Promotion only between 31 January 2025 at 12:00 GMT / 4:00 PST / 13:00 CET and 7 February 2025 at 16:00 GMT / 8:00 PST / 17:00 CET (the “Entry Period”). The exact start and finish time may vary, as published on the Lodestone webpage available at the following URL: https://sqex.to/2PYGN.

E. Entry Procedure and Limitations: In order to enter the Promotion, you must complete the following steps during the Entry Period:

General Rules
i. You must have and maintain your own active FINAL FANTASY XIV (the “Game”) European Square Enix account.
ii. You must have a Game character on the European Chaos data center (“Chaos”) or on the European Light data center (“Light”).
iii. Form a player-versus-player team (a “Team”) consisting of between five (5) and seven (7) players.
  1. To form a Team, you must form a group with a minimum of five (5) and maximum of seven (7) Game players.
  2. Each member of the Team must be eligible to enter this Promotion and must have read and agreed to the Official Rules for the Promotion before participating.
  3. During a match or a game, each Team must consist of five (5) players of different jobs.
  4. Team members may freely change jobs between games.
  5. If any Team fails to have at least five (5) eligible members at any time, that Team will be disqualified.
  6. Only five (5) Team members may participate in any one match.
  7. Teams will be allowed to switch players within their Team between matches of each stage of the tournament, but not between games of the same match.
    - For example: Switching players between Semi-Finals and finals is permitted. Switching players between Game 1 and Game 2 of the Semi-Finals is not.
  8. Players may participate on only one (1) Team during the Promotion.
iv. Only players who have been registered as part of the team at the time of registration will be eligible for the tournament. No player can be added to the team after registration.
v. A minimum of eight (8) Teams is required to hold the tournament. The tournament will be cancelled if there are less than eight (8) Teams participating.
vi. Players will be able to register during the Entry Period via a link provided by the Sponsor.
vii. Once the Entry Period has expired, the Sponsor shall review the registered teams and select a maximum of sixteen (16) Teams.
viii. If more than sixteen (16) Teams have registered, the the Sponsor will use the following methodology and criteria to select the participating Teams:
  • Result of their previous Crystalline Conflict official tournament placement and season status*;
  • Accuracy of the information registered on the Square Enix account;
  • In-game play status; and
  • History of terms of service violations.
*Calculated by the Team’s average Stars/Credit ranking for Season 12. If a player has not ranked in Season 12, their Season 11 or Season 10 rank may be considered for the team’s average instead, in that order. In case of a tie, the Sponsor will reference combined scores from the past 3 seasons as a tiebreaker.
ix. Sponsor will select the best teams in line with the criteria cited above and seed them and then determine the bracket seeding for the remaining teams using a random drawing.
x. The final bracket shall be announced on 24 February 2025.
xi. Sponsor shall randomly select the first map before each match.
xii. For each subsequent game, the losing team of the previous game will select the map for the next game.

Round of 16
i. The Round of 16 will take place between 3 March 2025 and 6 March 2025, from 16:30 GMT / 8:30 PST / 17:30 CET.
ii. Best-of-3 games.
iii. Each match in the Round of 16 shall consist of up to three games on one of the following maps: The Palaistra, The Volcanic Heart, Cloud Nine, The Clockwork Castletown, and The Red Sands.
iv. Each winning Team shall advance to the Round of 8.

Round of 8
i. The Round of 8 will take place on 7 March 2025 from 16:30 GMT / 8:30 PST / 17:30 CET.
ii. Best-of-3 games.
iii. Each match in the Round of 8 shall consist of up to three games one of the following maps: The Palaistra, The Volcanic Heart, Cloud Nine, The Clockwork Castletown, and The Red Sands.
iv. Each winning Team shall advance to the Semi-Finals.

Semi-Finals
i. The Semi-Finals will take place on 7 March 2025 from 16:30 GMT / 8:30 PST / 17:30 CET.
ii. Best-of-3 games.
iii. Each match in the Semi-Finals shall consist of up to three games on one of the following maps: The Palaistra, The Volcanic Heart, Cloud Nine, The Clockwork Castletown, and The Red Sands.
iv. The remaining two (2) Teams in their respective brackets will advance to the Finals.
v. During the Semi-Finals, Teams may substitute active members for alternate Team members between matches, but not between games in a single match.

Finals
i. The Finals will take place on 7 March 2025 from 16:30 GMT / 8:30 PST / 17:30 CET.
ii. Best-of-5 games.
iii. Each match in the Finals shall consist of up to five games on one of the following maps: The Palaistra, The Volcanic Heart, Cloud Nine, The Clockwork Castletown, and The Red Sands.
iv. During the Finals, Teams may substitute active members for alternate Team members between matches, but not between games in a single match.

Additional Terms
The following terms shall also apply:
i. For all matches:
(a) You may use in-Game macros.
(b) You may not use keyboard macros relating to gaming software or gaming hardware, such as but not limited to, the Logitech G13.
ii. If a Team cannot participate in a match, chooses not to participate in a match, or otherwise indicates to Sponsor that it will not participate in match, or if a Team is disqualified during a match, for any reason, the opponent Team shall win the match by default.
iii. If a Team is disqualified during the Round of 16, Round of 8, Semi-Finals, or Finals (other than during a match), the next-highest-ranking eligible Team will take the disqualified Team’s place.
iv. You must adhere to the Game User Agreement and all other applicable Game/Sponsor policies and terms.
v. You must be able to communicate in English.
vi. You must be able to communicate using Discord (voice and text chat) software.
vii. Boosting: You may not advertise, sell, purchase, or exchange any boosting service. You may not play for the purpose of acquiring virtual items, rewards, or advancement in game play on behalf of a third-party.
viii. Win-trading: You may not abuse matches in order to force a match result in or against your favour. This includes force disconnecting and failure to perform any actions in match.
ix. Poor Sportsmanship: You must avoid any actions or behaviour inconsistent with principles of basic sportsmanship, honesty, and fair play. You must not engage in violence or use offensive language. You must not abuse game exploits, hacks, other in-game issues.
x. You may not deliberately or negligently cause delays or impede the progress of the Promotion.
xi. You may not use any other person’s Square Enix Account, or permit any person to use your Square Enix Account, during the Promotion.
xii. You must not use the Promotion to obtain or generate any profit for yourself or for any anyone else other than Square Enix and its designees.
xiii. You hereby acknowledge that the Sponsor will film, photograph, record, and/or livestream matches or other portions of the Promotion on the Internet and may display, reproduce, distribute, and broadcast your name, likeness, and gameplay on the livestream, on Sponsor’s websites and social media channels, and elsewhere. By participating in the Promotion, you hereby grant Sponsor a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, assignable, non-exclusive license to make this use of your name, likeness, and gameplay.
xiv. You must promptly comply with all posted instructions and rules, and all instructions and rules otherwise provided by Promotion staff, venue staff, or Sponsor staff, before, during, and after the Promotion.
xv. You must immediately raise all complaints and/or disputes about gameplay or Promotion procedures, or any other aspect of the Promotion, with the Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee. You waive any complaints or disputes that you do not immediately raise to the Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee. Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee will have complete discretion to adjudicate all complaints and disputes about gameplay or Promotion procedures, or any other aspect of the Promotion.
xvi. Promotion staff may alter the Promotion or game/match structure, or grant variances in the Promotion or Game rules, based on the Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee’s judgment and discretion in order to ensure fair play and results.
xvii. Sponsor’s decisions are final and cannot be further appealed or challenged.
xviii. Each entrant and each Team is solely responsible for ensuring that his/her/its equipment, network connection, etc. are adequate to participate in the Promotion and are issue and interruption free.
xix. In the event of a player disconnecting from the game before the gate opens at the start of a game, the game will be reset.
xx. If a match during the Promotion cannot be completed due to a server outage or similar technology issues related to Sponsor’s servers or technology, then the match will be null, and a rematch will be held.

F. Prize(s): Prizes shall be distributed as follows:
  • Each member of the grand prize-winning team shall receive the following prizes (all in-game virtual items):
i. One (1) Loporrit Earring (in-game virtual item);
ii. Three (3) sets of 99x Magitek Torches (red, blue, yellow) and 10x Wrapped Presents (in-game virtual items);
iii. One (1) item of their choice among the Great Paraserpent, the Ahriman Choker, the Mandragora Choker, the Chocobo Noble Barding, the Bluebird Earring, the Scarf of Wondrous Wit, the Gaelicap, and Modern Aesthetics – Strife (in-game virtual items).
  • Each member of the four (4) Semi-Finalist teams shall receive the following prizes:
i. Three (3) sets of 99x Magitek Torches (red, blue, yellow) and 10x Wrapped Presents (in-game virtual items);
ii. One (1) item of their choice among the Great Paraserpent, the Ahriman Choker, the Mandragora Choker, the Chocobo Noble Barding, the Bluebird Earring, the Scarf of Wondrous Wit, the Gaelicap, and Modern Aesthetics – Strife (in-game virtual items).
  • All other participants shall receive the following prize:
i. Three (3) sets of 99x Magitek Torches (red, blue, yellow) and 10x Wrapped Presents (in-game virtual items).

G. Winner Notification: Sponsor, or Sponsor’s designee, will notify winner(s) by or about 7 March 2025 via Discord.

H. Sponsor: The sponsor of this Promotion is Square Enix Limited.

By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound and abide by these Key Rules and the Additional Rules applicable to your place of legal residence, and you represent that you satisfy all eligibility requirements to enter the Promotion.
