I totally agree with this. The Linkshell management is currently one of the most broken features in the game. Linkshell leaders really need to be able to kick members from anywhere (like we could in FFXI), regardless of whether the person they're kicking is online or not.

Not only does the requirement of having to be next to a person to kick them from the LS make it impossible to remove people who have quit the game, it also opens up the door to abuse by immature people. For example, I remember this one indecent a couple months ago where one of the members in our LS decided he hated all the rest of us for some reason, and started being extremely abusive and insulting everyone in LS chat, and our LS had to spend a whole freaking hour hunting the guy down in the game world just so we could remove him since he wouldn't stop harassing us.

That kind of problem never occurs in FFXI, because in FFXI you can kick people from your LS from absolutely anywhere in the game world, whether they're standing next to you or not.

In my opinion, improving Linkshell functionality should be the #1 priority for SE's next patch.
