Is this game's music memorable to you?

I have to admit though, the music in this game doesn't fit along with the scenery much. Ones that are favorable to me are Zaharak, the Dungeon Fighting Music (First it was only in Sposhae), and a few others. Seems like the new sound team arrangements catch my interest more than the originals, because they tend to follow a certain range of instruments instead of 3 different sets to make up the entire soundtrack. Further down the line I would like the originals to be arranged to meet up with the standards of the new compositions, so that when you hear the music, you know what game it comes from.

I love Nobuo's work, but as it has been said many times, he had no directive to work off of. No scenery, battles, no references. Without any of that,m his music is still outstanding, but just doesn't seem to connect to the game world as much as he could have made it.

Some of it is excellent, some of it is meh. I can't expect it to all be perfect.

I think it would be interesting if at least the dungeon music for DH, CC, TR, and AV had the same tune, just a different sound. CC would sounds more like a desert, AV would be more chemical sounding, DH would use more evil tone like Organs and such.

That is probably one of the few tracks in this game that I don't like much at all. The Battle theme for the song is fine though, I like it ^^

Also. Might just be me, but I find lots of the Alpha/Beta testers like myself have a connection to "On Windy Meadows"; which used to be just outside Limsa. As did Twilight over Thanalan.

I'd have to disagree with the OP. A lot of the original and new tracks for this game are amazing and I know they'll be memorable for me in the future. It's mostly personal preference. How much you enjoy the game, plays a part in it too.

On a side note, I really loved the music in Ragnarok online! Probably the nostalgia plays a big part in that choice but it's the same with all the FFXI players or any other MMO/Game for that matter.

only music i find pleasent in FFXIV at the moment is the one in coerthas & U'Ghamaro Mines.
(last one kinda reminds me of Movalpolos from FFXI, wich is just perfect)

"On Windy Meadow" is my top nominate bgm for this game. I can hear it on and on and never bored. It's really beautiful and does giving me the feel of thrill and great adventures! XD
