    About the flashy battle effects; suggest function to adjust the opacity

    I feel that recent battle content has a lot of screen flashing. I know I can use battle effect settings in character configuration, but it's best to set the effects on other targets to show none. However, if the battle effects are not visible, it will interfere with play and make it difficult to enjoy the game.

    Rather than making this extreme choice, I wish there was a function to adjust the opacity of the battle effects.

    I also want something like this. I want my own battle effects to be visible because the visual feedback lets me know that action went off properly. However certain actions are way too overwhelming so I would like an option to be able to reduce the effects to a certain level.

    The thing about transparent effects in 3D is it's really easy to draw them in the wrong order and make things look really strange, where some objects are invisible where they overlap with other effects. A skilled developer will get it right, but Yoshi-P has even admitted in the past that the dev team has trouble getting transparencies right (see discussions regarding aquariums). That's why all our battle effects are opaque.
