No, they are not and SE needs to find a way to stop it.
if SE added in features the community has begged for for years, a lot of the mods/plugins would be unnecessary. again, this all comes back to SE, every time. they don't give the game the love it deserves and this situation is a consequence of that.

being mad at other players will not fix anything. being mad at SE though??? also will not fix anything as they don't care lol. it's a lose lose no matter what.
