why is ever crisis getting a FF7 crossover event and not us?

we've gotten a FF 13/15/16 crossover but still no 7 crossover

bring on the FF7 crossover give us tifas hair, aeriths dress, and barrets arm gun

We do, also we have Gold Saucer, Costa del Sol, the Guard Scorpion as the first boss in Ala Mhigo, Cloud's victory pose as the DRK /victory emote, FFVII Limit Breaks appearing as various Limit Breaks here (including Braver taking on the form of the Buster Sword), materia, the Lifestream (before it's stupid retconning in EW as 'the Aetherial Sea'), the Ancients, the ruins of Garlemald resembling parts of Midgar, the Weapon battles, the Unknown bosses from Anemesis Aynder(and by extension their FATEs in Elpis)... 1.0's Meteor Project???.. need I go on?

I mean, I'd still love to have Aeris's original outfit as glamour, but really, we already have tons of FFVII crossovers in the game. And ironically because FFVII is so iconic and successful, hence you won't be seeing a direct fanservice event for it here in FFXIV, as they seem to use those particular events as a form of cross advertising for the other game (hence why we got events for... less successful games like NieR and FFXV.). You're simply never going to have an event where you face down Sephiroth (which is what players are really wanting when they request this), a reality check is needed here.

One of the final bosses of ARR is literally the Ultima Weapon, we then proceed to fight the Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire and Diamond Weapons in Sorrow of Werlyt, this is on top of all the other FF7 references peppered all over the game, and our melee LB1 and LB2 use the Buster Sword, with the Bladedance LB being modeled after Cloud's Omnislash Limitbreak.

There is a ton of FF7 stuff all over the game, just unlike the XI, XV and XIV collabs, they are permanently integrated into the game rather than limited time recurring events, this is the same for every other FF except the 3 mentioned.

I think now's the perfect time, especially after what Dawntrail brought.
It’d be fun to visit another Reflection that feels like an alternative FF7 world, with a SOLDIER job and all that vibe.
