I'm fine with content being designed such that you can leave after 20 minutes. I'm not fine with content that is completely finished or doesn't allow you to keep playing after 5-20 minutes.

Yes, most people go back and do the ex trials a bit later when it's faster and easier. It takes a day or two and then there's nothing to do again. Unfortunately, it's a drop in the ocean of there simply not being enough to do.
