This reply kinda proves you have no idea what features fflogs actually has, and also don't take prog very seriously.

It is immensely valuable for diagnosing wipes. Being able to see what mitigation people had, being able to check how much they were overkilled by, how many heals they received leading up to wipes. This is invaluable for progression.

Additionally, as I have said earlier in the thread, it's useful as a tool for double checking what abilities people are using at what times, and ensuring they're being used to maximum value.
It's also valuable as a comparison tool. If I'm playing a healer and I'm unsure about what mit to use, I can literally check a bunch of logs from high ranking healers and compare what they're using, and when. Similarly as a DPS, I can check what fight specific optimisations people are using, and apply that myself. FRU had a LOT of this, so it was very useful to be able to check what the best players are doing.
If you think fflogs isn't useful for prog, you're not serious about prog.

It is a powerful analytic tool, no doubt, but issue is it is vulnerable for abuse
Also, technicially, FF14 is not WoW that allows damaage meter addon, pretty sure they are heavily against it

I would love to see SE sue the creators of FFLOGs and have the website shut down permanently. FFLOGs is a blight on this game, and the average player doesn't have the intelligence necessary to use the website in a reasonable manner.

Hell, last night I was in a party for Chaotic and somebody insulted me for having less than 20 logged clears. (I had 19.) Even though I've cleared all content in the game, including all ultimates, most on patch, since 2.0.

FFlogs provides fuel for morons and the community would be better off without it.

If we followed your logic in real life there would be no cars, no knives, no string/thin rope, no pillows, no flammable items, no heavy blunt objects, etc. Why? Because some morons decided to use those things to harm others. Better chop off everyone's hands while we're at it, those are also used to harm others regardless of the useful tasks they can also do.

Removing a tool that morons use won't stop them from being morons. They'll find other tools to use for the same ends. Maybe we should focus on doing something about the morons instead?

The morons can be reported to SE if they are harassing other players in game. They can be reported to Discord if they are harassing people in Discord. They can be reported to YouTube or Twitch if they are harassing people in their content creation.

Kick them from your parties if they start harassing other players while in party. Leave their parties if they're the party leader. Don't let them benefit from acting like morons.

It's sad a large part of the community wants to continue to enable the morons by allowing (or demanding) the blame to be shifted elsewhere instead of doing something about the morons who are responsible for the harassment.

That's an interesting slope to follow, I dare hope it's not too slippery. The real question becomes where do you put the line and how many morons are "some morons", and how much of their "moronic" culture spreading is too much, becoming the de facto standard of acceptance that shapes the rules permeating the whole community?

You chose cars and makeshift weapons. Could have also gone for hard drugs on the other end of the spectrum.
