What are we expecting exactly when the community has crapped on the pvp side of the game for years just because "its pvp, ew brother ewww"?

I think a problem in addition to that could be the factor that you play with so many people. If somebody doesn't pull their weight in content for 4 or 8 players you can notice it quickly. I guess in frontlines there's this mentality that nobody will notice if it's you in particular because you might feel comfortably invisible in that big crowd of people.Something that someone pointed out in chat the other day:
"I'm only here for the EXP; who cares how I play?"would never fly in any PvE content. Like, you don't have to play perfectly in PvE, but socially, there is an expectation that you have some minimal, baseline knowledge of your role and job, and some minimal willingness to try to perform mechanics correctly.
I think it says something about the current rewards from the Frontlines roulette that there are people who suddenly think that being a warm body in the instance is plenty enough a "contribution."
It's far worse than that in the sense some of these non-participants actively taunt those who are trying to win.I think a problem in addition to that could be the factor that you play with so many people. Sorry, but you seem to have been playing a very different game, because this kind of attitude very much flies in PvE. Cure1 spamming healers in the lvl 99 dungeon, even though the tanks don't even need healing, without doing any aoe, is a regular occurrence. Not a day goes by I don't have to ask at least one DPS in SB+ content to use their aoe abilities. We aren't talking about some sprouts (who are generally more receptive), but about people with multiple lvl 100 jobs. In Alliance raids, some DPS will be lower in aggro than healers, heck, I'm usually higher in aggro than 2 or 3 dps as tank with my stance off. There are still people not understanding the Atmos-4-people-stand-on-the-platform mechanic in crystal tower, despite these people having triple digit clears. The attitude is the same as in PvP, "just here to have fun", "just here for xp (from roulette)". The enabler community that enables feeders, leechers and afkers in PvP, is the same enabler community that enables single targetting dps and cure1 spamming healers in PvE.Something that someone pointed out in chat the other day:

Exmo did really well in explaining it; the rewards should be individual based if you got killed 5 times with 0 assists and 0 kills you were not afk but you were actively throwing you should receive a lesser reward and if you are afk you should be kicked and penalized for being AFK kicked.![]()
dont think i mentioned ranked anywhere in my list tho.
The mention of casual matches here is that they should get the same exp rewards regarless of winning or losing. No one goes into frontlines or CC thinking "I have to win because exp is better and if I lose the exp is bad". People want to win because it counts towards achievements/titles (with the mount and glam rewards) No where do I mention that it shouldnt count for Ranked PVP.

When I tank a dungeon, the amount of times I'm puzzled that one of the mobs dies faster than the others, and then realize it's because the DRG is single targeting drives me nuts. I brought it up once, and the guys said, "my single target does more damage." No it doesn't. I took the time to explain it to him, and he was like IDGAF, single target more damage. So I gave up, roll my eyes, and quietly steam as the trash mobs take FOR - EV - ER.Sorry, but you seem to have been playing a very different game, because this kind of attitude very much flies in PvE. Amazing how bad a take this is and how many people are salivating over it.
Yes, let's make queue times 60+ minutes for any pvp due to people writing it off as not worth it.
Sounds like a great idea.
Since op mentioned Light he might be from pvp discord organizing premades (multiple groups q at same time (yes resulting premades placed into one team)). So they just want to laugh at randoms more than they are already.
The motivation is to ensure that people who engage in Frontline actually want to be there and contribute to the team goal. Other solutions have been discussed, but what is apparent currently is that many matches are being severely compromised by people putting in no effort, or actively trying to lose. I really don't enjoy enabling someone get half a level of XP when all they're doing is trolling me.
