Bragging Rights XI -- PvP Tournament Results Thread

For our first open-entry Crystalline Conflict tournament of the year, and the first of the Winter Circuit, we had 11 teams come out to compete!

Senbonzakura, a combination of North America's two best teams (Wolfas & GDT), took first place with a nearly flawless record, dropping only two games in Grand Finals!

In general, the tournament took waaaaaay longer than I thought it would. We started around 6pm CST and finished at 11:40pm, thanks in part due to 11 teams being a logistical mess to run matches for, but mostly due to the sustain meta.

Several teams opted for the Paladin/Two Healer core that we've become familiar with in ranked over the past month. Fortunately, not only did the winning team not use this stall comp, there's been discussion in the community that a chain-cc meta could be effective at breaking this stall.

bro i just wanted to say that I watched a recording of the tournament and I think it was very entertaining

glad i did not watch it live thought because it lasted a long time, but watching a recording has been very cool!

now i see what you meant about CC being played in tournaments so that you can truly appreciate skill and teamwork at the highest level

kudos to you and the rest of the people who organized that event!

also bro as a suggestion maybe next time have more than one commentator so that you can take breaks or people can rotate while commentating the tournament

you are excellent at it, but it's a lot of work for one person alone

Eyyy glad to hear it man! Yeah the commentary thing was more of a logistical oversight. Everyone I contacted was either unavailable or playing Marvel Rivals lmao

That combined with the longer-than-expected matches definitely took it's toll on mic quality. Already got a few people for the next tournament so we'll be all good!
