I've been actively avoiding doing roulettes because of this too so you're not alone.Not having my abilities on sync down was something I never understood.
Yes it needs more balancing but yea nothing impossible so far balancing was good besides some outliers.
Since the release of Shadowbringers I lost interest in doing low level content, and rouletts in general because I didn't want to get synced down. I kept leveling from EW onwards as fast as possible to get it over with asap. and I never want to enter a low level dungeon. I sometimes do to help people but then feel bored and confused at the same time because my job plays differently and its way less fun to play, especially when I know how it plays with the skills that are locked in the dungeon.
Long story short. I hope I'm not alone with this even tho I kinda lost hope for any changes in that direction.





I mean one side of that boredom is your kit, not having a fuller kit to perform, but sure the other side could be interesting too.I hate satasha as it is. No need to demand me to now press even more buttons in an otherwise still extremely boring dungeon. Now i can just watch some youtube on the side, while our tank is slowly pulling a few enemies.
ARR being that outdated will always face this issue. And i already reached the point to just stop caring, you arent going to fix this because once you do, its no longer newbie friendly, which is exactly what you dont want. Even if you get all your abilities except a few like invulns, its still going to be boring. Its intentional to have those dungeons like that.
The problem isnt the lack of buttons, its the lack of mechanics that require attention.
Weird to just fall on the ground and be like "it has to suck!" though. Actually you know, I think it's worse than that... Since it's "I know it sucks, and it has to! No solutions!", or something to that. I would dismiss that logic to be honest...
Also did suggest ways that old content can vary through taking excess damage and converting it into new rewards (and mechanics). Seen in the stagger / break ideas. So we've got thoughts on that too if we must.

Without fail people bring up Sastasha like this one thing is the biggest reason to not rethink level sync lmao. If you're worried about the sanctity of the first dungeon, then just have revamped level sync apply to anything Lv50 and above. You now no longer have to argue about Hallowed Ground, Benediction, and watching Netflix in Sastasha.
