Ban premade parties in Frontline please

As certain as the day is long, premades are the absolute bane of Frontline.

By far worse than players who idle at nodes, players who don't know their class yet, players who are just there for the XP, players who are allergic to healing.

By far more impactful than tiny potency changes or adjustments to job balance.

Premades completely suffocate any chance of fairness. They make a team dominate. It takes active effort and cooperation between the other two teams to deny them a sure victory.

The only people who like premades are people who regularly play in premades.

To combat this, any number of the following changes could be made:

    1. Prevent premade parties from queueing to FL or only match premades with other premades.
    2. Prevent players from placing markers on themselves or teammates.
    3. Prevent waymarks from being placed within 10 seconds of the most recent waymark placement.
    4. Prevent chat sound effects.

Thank you, and remember - premades are the worst!

That's not true exactly. I play solo a lot of the time but have cross world linkshell for folks who like to party up in Frontlines casually. Also you can turn sound off already with /soundeffects. Why turn off waymarks? Sometimes you need a way to tell people where they need to go when no one wants to click on the <pos>?

Premades use macros to put a waymark on their position every second and ping in chat "follow the A".

Disabling my personal sound effects does not disable everyone's sound effects. These are mechanisms premades use to bulldoze. Even if they could not queue up in a premade party, players would use these mechanisms to still effectively function as a premade.

I honestly look forward to being in these alliances as well as fighting against them. They wake me up from my usual tactics of knowing were to route the enemies and cut them off. I'll agree that putting markers on teamates is a little annoying as it can get in my field of vision but it's not deal breaking for me. How often do you run into the premades? Surely you should be landing on their side 33% of the time?

If you're suggesting that means I win 33% of the time because I land with a premade and that I should be satisfied, I'm sorry to say that's not the case. Playing alongside a premade saps all the fun out of FL. It's the real "turn off your brain, do what you're told" game mode out of all pvp. No skill needed, no thinking, just follow instructions.

Edit: sorry, you asked how often I run into premades. I would say once or twice a week, most often on Shatter but also regularly on the nadaam.

29% if there is exactly one premade on the field.

Yes, let's lower the quality of the fights more. Everything already made for hamsters and is as pointless as possible, the best thing to do is make it even more primitive.

You can go even further and prohibit hardcore raiders from joining parties. So the raid will be more har-r-rd CORE!
