Direct x Crash when starting other games

Why are all you people not playing FFXIV when it's running?

Turbo Controller would be the only correct answer.

I've loaded up other games while waiting between behests. Only one that has managed to cause FFXIV to throw up a error was Vanguard. Funny enough I was running both games in windowed mode. Though I'm more than willing to blame the other games incredibly poor engine.

the only problem with that is turbo only works for the window that's active.

Nope, there is a setting to allow your controller to work in the back ground.

Yeah, the whole DX crash has always been a ridiculous issue with the game engine. Fortunately this will problem will be gone in 2.0, as per Yoshi.
