Churros Flan and Posolè
Churros Flan and Posolè
Finally something we can all agree on!
Food is so limited in this game. Was a real disappointment for me when I got into crafting and learned that the crit bias effectively eliminates most of the newest food items from even being used outside of memes and rp. Imagine my disappointment when they came out with a burger item, but since it wasn't bis there was never an objective reason for me to cook it. Nobody wanted it for actual use. I'd make it for fun and list it on the market for RPers to maybe purchase as a joke gift, but that was it.
You know what'd be cool? If the culinary items didn't actually contain stats from the devs, but the cooks themselves could imbued any food item with bis stats. Like, if you're a level 100 CUL with good gear, your reward is that you can choose the stats that go into what you're cooking. In this way, all that soulful ARR food that nobody makes anymore could have a use case, because you could pump it with bis stats. You could make stormblood takoyaki and give it Dawntrail bis stats. The possibilities would be endless, but it'd be chaos in the markets and make things less standardized so we'll never get any system like it ever.

+1
I support you and your churro endeavors

Bumping in support. It's a really good idea. Churros definitely fit within Dawn Trail's theme.
*snippity snip*

Yes please! To expand on the idea, let every food item have its own base stats. Then, let the culinarian imbue additionals stats to the food in a similar way the game allows materia to add stats to gear. Higher level food would allow you to imbue higher stats. Yet, the individual food items may have unique stat maximums which affects what you can imbue the food with.
You wouldn't need the culinary equivalent to materia. You could use difficulty to determine what stats you put in your food. Lower stat boosts or less desirable stat = lower difficulty in crafting. A higher stat boost or a more desirable stat = higher difficulty to craft.

bump!
With the new raid tier approaching fast, I really like to reiterate that I really like churros and I would love to have them ingame!
Churros are amazing and actually one of the healthier dough-based snacks you can eat.
Let our WoLs nom on churros while we beat up the new big baddies!![]()

CHURROS yes please that would fit so well, make it the healer bis food!
There are still no churros in the game!
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
I'm fine already. I'll hope for churros in 7.3!
But really, the entire lineup of food we received is just the visuals of a plate of soup with different colors. You can call any of them "soup" and I would believe it!
The mate cookie is a reused asset of the ginger cookie! OMG how? it's like you only have 10 icons for food! and MONTHS to make them?
Feels like the only creative icons is for those doughballs and bubble tea.
Just imagine the visceral experience of looking at the market board, your heart pounding as you find all of the food is inspired and unique! like churros!

I am adding another comment in support of Churros.
I also really want churros now.
