What's with the weird beard "shine" on male roegadyn and hrothgars?

It also happens to my male midlander, who has the "old face" and has black hair.

His afro lookS fine , but his beard has this strange gloss on it that looks awful to be honest.

The beard issue is visible even on the lodestone picture (below), but it looks way worse ingame (small indie company, look forward to 8.0, I know...)

New patch and all that, and this still isn't fixed. It's only been 276 days, more if you count all the "testing" done with the Benchmark.
