[Feedback] Data Center Travel

Hello! I just want to raise my concern about current state of Data Center Travel on EU. I guess the same issue could be found on other servers too.

Since Data Center Travel was implemented, it was somehow decided that Chaos isn't the place for raiding - the party finder is deserted, while Light one is thriving.

Going on Light all I can see - people from Chaos with "Traveler" tag.

So - we migrate from Chaos to Light for their PF, but then we have almost full party from Chaos, but on Light - but with mild inconveniences (I'm speaking that when we're visiting another dc we have some functionality cut off).

I find it mildly infuriating. It's discouraging to travel to another DC just because people decided too.

The part of me wants to suggest to just disable party finder when you travel to another data center, to enable visits just for social interactions/shopping.

But I think it would be better to make party finder cross-data-center already, to make sure that we can find party in confort of our home data center.

Thats a Chaos Issue, Light was always the Server which had more PF Activity even before the Travel, so the one to blame isnt the Travel Function more likely the Playerbase on Chaos but yea real cross data center groups would be really really nice, it would even mean more activity because you can see the groups on both sides

I would agree, but I saw the decline and migration with my own eyes. It's fine that we had fewer groups, but it never was zero

Mayme Light alway had more activity, but before DC travel my friends cleared TEA through PF. And now most PF activity are different announcements about parties or FC recruitments. And people don't even try to make PF on Chaos they just say "let's go on Light". So even if we assume that light have like 60% of ppl doing duties through PF and Chaos 20%, now we have like Light 60%+19% of Chaos inhabitants and Chaos has - 1% and if you are lucky you can try to find a group for a duty you want to clear(((( And the most sad part is that "someone said that Light is better" and people started to go there((((

Yes, we're all aware of the issue because it happens in all regions.

EU goes to Light to raid.
NA goes to Aether to raid.
JP goes to Mana to raid.

Developers are aware of it since they mentioned it and have had to tackle it in interviews since.

Chaos being the one that lost surprised me because it was the original data center and Light was new. But I felt there was a big and supportive community that had grown on Light which at a certain point led to it overtaking Chaos.

Totally agree. PF is practically dead on Chaos, even for actual content. I haven't seen any search for Cloud of Darkness in a while, and I don't have the ability to jump between Chaos and Light all the time to find it.

Party finder and ideally also duty finder should be cross DC within the same region. The devs said implementing this could take 3 years though so...

They mentioned it in the last LL, so they are already working on it.

Got into Savage party a couple of days ago on Light
And 7 of 8 ppl there were from Chaos

It's just sad that I can wait for hours on Chaos and my party would stay empty just because everybody raids on Light

Cross-dc Party Finder seems like a dream

They mentioned it in the last LL, so they are already working on it.

Not sure we know they are actively working on it, or whether they are at the "that would be nice, let's look at that sometime" phase.
