People would still need to get the trophy crystals to buy the old rewards.
The System in place can support it.
Any reason otherwise is just ridiculous.
<they could of even made the system require you to do older rewards first before getting the latest and "greatest".>
or made it so, once you completed today's track, you get a diverging path of doing older rewards for less currency. or continue on the currency track.
Many things they could of done to give people variable incentives that please them individually.
I think lack of FOMO is one off the reason ppl complaining the lack of things to do in the game.
Every other MMOs have FOMO in every aspects of the game from raids, events, collabs.
Ppl need something they have to do to think there's something to do.
Which is crazy because anyone with two braincells to rub together would still see the need for the trophy crystals that only come from the battlepass.
In a lot of ways, I genuinely question the intelligence of the development team when it comes to issues such as this. It's so easy to have the rewards lag behind in a way to not make the battlepass seem useless. Also, having the intelligence to add new rewards when necessary to necessitate more engagement.
But to be fair, they do nothing, and we still reward them financially, so who's really the idiot? I just wish they had better foresight and wisdom to fix these issues as they crop up.

"You haven't proven that it is safe, you've (only) proved that you can't figure out how it's dangerous."
It takes at most 1 frontline roulette a day to get all rewards, and it doesn't even have to be days of consecutive play.
We definitely don't need FOMO. We need casual content with replay value that rewards you for replaying it.
100%. Guild Wars 2 is a great example of FOMO-free rewards design.
That said, FOMO is something that you, as a player, fall prey to. I'm not going to act like it's not a predatory design philosophy, because it is, but the solution to it is to understand that it is meant to turn you into an addict so that you dread the idea of not playing the game, and thus keep your sub active and keep logging in every day. You just need to miss that one ephemeral reward you think you really care about to realize that missing it had no tangible negative impact on your life. That pretty effectively breaks the spell.
Completely agree we need something to buy with trophy crystals and wolf marks. The problem is that if you make those items exclusive to PvP, Frontline in particular gets populated by people who don't really want to be there and "play" accordingly, as is happening now.
The mode would then be even more dead lol. What pvp needs is a better rewards system that they update more frequently. Adding things to buy with wolf marks/the crystal currency is a start. (Instead of shoving those weapons into maps, but I've complained about that more then once on these fourms lol.)
This creates a situation in which people who are only there for the rewards are pissed off because they claim it takes too long to get the rewards in a game mode they don't like, while those of us who do want to be there get irritated by low-quality matches and people riding round in circles not actually PvPing.
On Aether at least I believe we have enough PvP enthusiasts to keep both FL and CC running without bribing the FOMO crowd to queue in. Cross-DC DF would extend this to all servers.

Yeah this. FOMO is ultimately a player's choice, not an immutable law of nature.100%. Guild Wars 2 is a great example of FOMO-free rewards design.

FOMO is there because they are doing things to keep people subbed, and they won't bend that considering the sub dropoffs.
