    Pressing a GCD that deals 15000 damage just over 30s instead of instantly isn't "DoT" gameplay.

    I get what you mean, but FFXIV has no DoT class, and not even "DoT adjacent"-classes. I'd be enjoying DoT classes, but we don't have any. I'd definitely be on board with unsyncing them though, but I'd still also remove Iron Jaws and just rebalance numbers so re-applying two DoTs is perfectly accounted for in the output.

    To be clear, in making Iron Jaws an Sidewinder alternative, I did also mean it'd be in a shared CD (though perhaps 2 charges at 30s recast each instead of 1 at 60s).

    What I would want
    - +25 potency on Caustic Bite
    - Stormbite now works kinda like Harmonic Arrow in PVP, can now cleave (boring option would be threefold attack, 250ish potency per hit, 30 second recast, two charges)
    - bring back, and rework Flaming Arrow to not be a puddle to replace Iron Jaws, shares a recast with Sidewinder

    Hey all. First-time poster here. Been a Bard player for about ~3-4 years (since the tail-end of ShB) and just wanted to put in my two cents on how the job feels to play right now -- which is: not good.

    I think the cause of pretty much every one of Bard's issues these days was the removal of the 2x Repertoire proc chance in EW. Since we're playing at a proc deficit now instead of a surplus, it makes managing procs during Wanderer's Minuet -- you know, the only song that actually matters -- without triple-weaving (thanks Empyreal Arrow; may god give you two charges someday) downright agonizing. On top of that, it makes the Soul Voice gauge totally pointless, and I frankly cannot fathom why it even still exists.

    I honestly don't understand why Repertoire is even random at all now; it's like playing a slot machine that has an 80% chance to pay out with exactly what you put in, and a 20% chance to just give you nothing. What sense does that make?

    TL;DR: I would give Bard the 2x Repertoire chance back -- not even as a buff, just to make it make sense.

    Basically just a remnant of the past. While I like the randomness of it, it feels a lot less impactful since it lacks the extreme highs and lows that older iterations had. And it does feel a bit odd in the current environment where everything is pretty much static and predictable.

    Repertoire used to proc whenever your Stormbite and Caustic Bite DoTs did critical hits (affected by buffs), so you could end up with a streak of procs every server tick or you could end up with almost an entire burst phase of nothing, that's also where the chance for a double Repertoire proc came from, since you had two DoTs that could crit individually.

    I think BRD needs to be reworked with more support abilities. Song buffs, even if beneficial, do not feel like you're contributing to group success. A 30 second minor haste buff, or 45 second 1% dps buff that you just set and forget doesn't feel great. It feels underwhelming. I also think BRD is overly RNG/proc heavy/hectic for where it stands in DPS contribution. Why is BRD 10 times harder than VPR, but does thousands less in DPS?

    I think you'd be hard pressed to find anybody that actually likes and supports the deletion of procs based on dots for BRD. At least, I have yet to find any. Even within players that don't main or play the job.
    Same thing for Sidewinder, it's hollow.

    Maybe a bit of potency but nothing more.

    Cause how the devs just lead job complexity behind the shed and sandpaper what's left I'd prefer they don't put their dirty fingers on BRD at all.

    BRD really needs to have the cool down of Barrage lowered from 120 seconds, to at least 60, especially if they want to have more add fights where killing specific adds is a ranged responsibility.
