I still find it utterly baffling that they released the feature, let people make friends, communities, statics with people from other servers and data centers (within the same region) and then they just take it all away by putting on these arbitrary restrictions, making it such a pain to play with the friends you might have made before, while travel to everywhere was open and there were no issues. It feels almost malicious, though I guess it's more likely it's just the devs's total incompetence showing once again.
