Thread: The issue with Dawntrail and importance of 8.0

Press score is still favorable, but it's as low as it has ever been, it means something. And there is (theoretically) less affect for reviewers that long time players (I know at least of two professional websites in my country that purposefully don't let a long time player of an MMORPG do the review to prevent it).

And while I globally agree about what you say about Veilguard and Dawn Trail, where I disagree is that there is no hate campaign against Dawntrail (where there is one against Veilguard). I stay with what I'm saying about it's all about disappointment in a game that is that much loved.

One of my favorite streamer has FFXIV as his favorite game ever since it's release (and he don't stream it / any other MMO, so his audience isn't about FFXIV/MMO neither he would want any bad buzz from what I'm about to say). When someone on the chat asked for his opinion a few months after release, he responded "6.5 not bad not good". And months after the release, this "not bad not good" feeling is omnipresent everywhere I look (even in game, I have never seen people talk about their disappointment in the chat as much as I have seen it while doing Sphene trial).
