Login Screen is blank. Please help!

My login screen is blank and I cannot log in. It is not because my IE security settings are too high.

I believe it might be a Directx or a graphics card problem. I don't know how to fix this.

I have updated all my drivers, or at least attempted to.
I have already downloaded AMD Driver Autodetect: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx
I have dusted out my PC tower.
Nothing I do seems to work.

I have researched this problem quite a bit, and it seems FFXIV uses Internet Explorer as its browser. Many people see a blank login screen because their security settings on IE are too high. Here are a few links mentioning this problem:

This, however, is not my current issue.
I don't know what the cause of this problem is. It could be my Video Card, DirectX, or something completely different.

I had misunderstood. I thought you had meant the character login screen at first, rather than the actual game login screen itself.

I notice you haven't mentioned anything about firewall settings? Is it possible ffxiv is being blocked for some reason? I'd def double check both the windows firewall settings and any other antivirus/firewall software you may have. I've had this issue myself a few weeks after I first started playing, I think this is what it was.
