Outdated or Non Existant Achievment rewards

The rewards currently given for the games achievements are genuinely not enough.

I wanted to compile a good example of achievements that really just reward complete nothing burgers or leave players with massive gaps between achievements or straight up not rewarding people for getting achievements



I want to see this system improved and revamped with some of the useless items removed and replaced with better things. I really like the portraits that you get for mahjong or fishing. can we maybe invest some of these insane achievements into portraits? a title is simply not enough for the rarest achievement in the game . Some of these achievements are also unhealthy. Alpha wolf can take upwards of a full year of non stop 14 hour day grinds just to get this.



There are also basically no good uses of achievement certificates. this system was only just updated in 7.1 and hadn't been touched for literal years before that



There are also no accumulative achievements in the game. like earn THIS MANY achievements. Example : earn 100, 200, 300 and so on

I’m just going to point out that achievements in general are worthless because the points don’t matter since stuff rarely gets added to the achievement shop.

Achievements are inherently flawed in this game, just simply because the token system isn't improved enough. A player going for 7,500 achievement points is rewarded no less than a player going for 21,000+ achievement points.

I do agree but the problem is twofold. Achievements have meaningless rewards, but also the actual tokens that you can exchange from achievement points are also pointless.

The rewards and titles are fine. But some of the actual achievement amounts are strange or unrealistic.

The reason we will never spend the majority of our achievement certificates is because the majority of players will not ever have the sort of playtime to get them. I believe that this is the reason they all cost a tiny 2 certificates. It replaced the veteran reward system which, itself, was replaced due to the complaint new players would eventually have no hope of achieving the rewards in a reasonable timeframe.

It is fine, and the hunt ones is very much valid from day 1 to to FFXIV 2025 and so is most PvP, if you are engaged in either thing you would know why and it would also show which parts of the game you like where as others will never ever get close to any of them.

As for slaying A Rank Hunt marks, then all levels of it count, be it ARR or DT.

Some more stuff to spend the extra tokens on would be nice.

when i finally get my hands on The alpha wolf, nobody is going to have a single clue about this or how hard this really was to get. other than a title i will have literally nothing to show for it. no portrait. no glam. no mount. the rarest achievement in the entire game, made completely redundant. I will never be able to wear another title because this will be the only way i can ever show that i earned it. and its not even about flexing i simply want to enjoy the benefits of it for the rest of my life

when i finally get my hands on The alpha wolf, nobody is going to have a single clue about this or how hard this really was to get. other than a title i will have literally nothing to show for it. no portrait. no glam. no mount. the rarest achievement in the entire game, made completely redundant. I will never be able to wear another title because this will be the only way i can ever show that i earned it. and its not even about flexing i simply want to enjoy the benefits of it for the rest of my life

That's a you problem. It seems like you live for the approval of others. Anyway, I wouldn't notice, I have titles hidden as all they do is clutter my screen and I don't use any. Rewards are for the most part just tokens and I am fine with that. A few of them I like such as the war horses from frontlines.

I nevertheless agree that some achievements are over the top and somewhat unhealthy. Like gathering 30k mats on the island, 20k hordes: it's just a pure pointless and boring grind (deep dungeons can be fun but to get 20k hordes, people just enter and exit HoH lvl 21...I know a guy who got the achievement by spending entire days entering and leaving HoH). There's no other reason to farm that many of those things other than the achievement but no one is obligated to do it either. PVP achievements, although a lot, works as a long time achievement for people who really enjoy pvp and spend a lot of time in there.

Imagine wanting to show off achievements in an online video game, its not like there are literal achievement portrait's for your adventure plate to facilitate you doing exactly this.

Are you actually complaining you're not getting rewarded for being rewarded for your efforts?

Having all the rewards work on all the races would be nice.
Got all the battle crowns and can't wear a single one on viera.
