Ifrit battle (Hard) as solo White Mage

Not a 1vs1 fight against Ifrit, although, I wish we could. But I recorded this video and added some comments in the discription for any White Mages out there that would like to try it out who haven't had the chance. Good luck and have fun!

Fine video, but you'd do much better by not clicking on your skills, macroing common combinations (sacred prism & skill) and turning off secondary target (eliminating the need to hit enter after every skill).

You also seem to go from using the keyboard/mouse to a controller when the fight starts? That just seems to be such a hindrance adding a delay to everything you do.

Additionally, from 3:36 onward, you never put stoneskin on yourself causing heals to get canceled as you get knocked back and makes you have to run to reposition yourself.

If nothing else, this just shows that you have a good tank because I'm not impressed by the healing.

Love rude people who feel the need to correct others on a win and then insult them. Everyone has their own way of playing. Your helpful suggestions would sound better if you didn't follow them by being rude. Please, Aalryn, post of video of you doing it to show us how it's "correctly" done.

The video isn't here to impress anyone. It's to show others who haven't had the chance to try it the timing and how I do it. Yes, Aaltryn, I'm aware there's other ways of doing it, and I appreciate your suggestions, but aoe doesn't cancel cure, you should watch it again and see. I almost always SS myself at jumps, unless the tank's missing a buff, like seen in the video. Other than jumps, I don't find SS myself as important as healing others who could actually die while i would just take less damage and run 4 feet. Not as important. But I would have SS myself more if Ifrit would have jumped more than just once the whole fight. Something I didn't notice until just now. Thanks.

I don't fight Ifrit no more, since I got my 7th weapon, but I used to fight it as a WHM.

I also think that SS on self is very important.... so I would do this:

1 - Have SS on;
2 - As soon As I see Vulcan Burst on chat log, I start recasting it on myself;
3 - Toss a Cure2 on tank straight after.

This way, if you manage not to get hit by something else, you'll be safe and keep your position.
