What do you count as large scale? Cause Eureka and Bozja were still pretty popular when I checked. Of course it will have lower player counts now with newer content just being released. But they were booming pre-DT.
Talking specifically about the large scale raids (Should've been specific here). BA/DRN(Somewhat)/DRS, as the lifecycle of Chaotic is more than likely going to follow a similar trajectory to these, wherein runs are largely, if not almost exclusively organized through Discord, as it's going to be easier to pre-schedule through there than it will to just plop up a PF for Chaotic and wait to get 24 people, especially when it is not the current content.
standard with most content it only last for a raid cycle or at best for the duration of the expansion, after that it's all just glam unsynced farming
Also seriously why care if a hairstyle is a reward from it, it really isn't that hard to get. Though i went for my mount first, coz priorities
To be fair both BA and DRS are locked behind grindy field exploration content. They're also twice as large as 24-man raid groups. I feel like Chaotic would still be more accessible down the road.Talking specifically about the large scale raids (Should've been specific here). Both of these can be done with significantly less players than desired. To put it into perspective, BA can be cleared with just a single party of 8. DRS can also be done with players under 24. That 'grindy' field exploration content is also some of the most successful content in the game in terms of player uptake, so yes, whilst it is a grind, it is a notoriously accessible. Of 237,495 tracked by public achievement data, more people had the achievement for getting through DRN, than players that have done Titania Extreme, despite the former being more of a grind.
Maybe it will, maybe it won't, I just personally think there is more to indicate that the content and rewards will be less accessible down the road, rather than more accessible. At least until they inevitably put them on Treasure Trove in 4 years. For what it's worth, I hope I am wrong about it and not right.

I don't know why ppl want always to make Eurake and Bozja sound so bad just bc they were grindy... I would kill for something kinda grindy right now. For both EW and the beginning of DT, I only log in prog savage or some other new hard fight but I have nothing to just relax and have in. The relic grind before EW is what kept me playing this game, working on stuff in both Eurakes kept me engaged in the game and let me do things outside raid nights. The fact we do have have anything to grind for is the problem with FF14 right now. Yes I know we getting another field exploration but it should been released in this patch and not CAR. We didn't need yet another savage-level content, we just got Ultimate just a month ago and Im sure ppl are still working on FRU. Either way yes BA and DRS may be locked behind a "grindy field exploration" but that's not a bad thing, it gave ppl something to work on and a reason to play the game.
I dunno if I came off on not liking Eureka or Bozja but I actually really loved both of those pieces of content. My only point was that there were some sort of barrier (even if it was small) to unlocking those alliance raids. Chaotic Alliance has literally no barrier to entry, and I feel like it might play a small role in the issues we're seeing with it. And on a somewhat side note: I don't think requiring a full clear of the current savage tier is a good idea for that barrier which I've seen some people bring up.
