More holiday instance areas, please!

Don't drink the SE kool-aid, they can absolutely do both things at the same time, they just choose not to because a shareholder's portfolio might have one less 9 than he was expecting at the end of a quarter.

They can rarely bring themselves to do more than the bare minimum for content behind two paywalls. The modicum of effort needed to make the special instance drained their effort budget for the next year of events.

The people who build these event spaces are absolutely the same people who build the instances for exploration zones, dungeons, trials, raids, alliance raids, deep dungeons, varient/criterion dungeons and pretty much all of the other meaningful content in the game. Of course it would take dev time away from other things.
