The reason why FFXIV is so boring and not fun to play anymore is because

4.0-4.1 (16 weeks) vs 7.0-7.1 (19 weeks)
I guess I just don't see 3-4 extra weeks as that much.

For the sake of argument, let's assume it's only three additional weeks. That's approximately four months added to the expansion for the exact same content or less than previous expansions. While you might not notice or care, it's hardly a surprise people are getting frustrated when the content cadence was already stretched very thin even back in Stormblood.

Baffles my mind that people so blindly defend Square Enix's scummy practices even when you point how and why it's bad. This is part of the reason the game is so stuck with the lack of interesting things to do, people are more than happy with receiving less and less with each expansion. Seems breadcrumbles now compared to a proper bread we got in Stormblood is fine with these people.

It wouldn't be half as bad if they stopped with the Japanese style of hidden gacha box P.R and gave us CLEAR ROADMAPS and giving us what to expect. MORE COMMUNICATION.

Either they don't know what they are posting out themselves, are doing it on purpose because they think they would rather surprise people, good or bad or something else.
