Please help me understand why/how Chaotic one last time? (because I'm done. With the game.)

• Why did they do this?
• I gather they put Ultimate BiS gear in here is that right? Why did they do that? And put us with Ultimate raiders who were now going to want to min/max their way to the gear they need in 'THE ABSOLUTE' shortest time possible? (You don't often come across ultimate weapons in your levelling roul. They just won't tolerate wasting a second of their time. I don't blame them. I expect its 'necessary'.)
  
• Is there anyone who knows the JP forums and where what discussions happen who can tell us how this is working out and going down with that region's PF/DF etiquette?

Because in so many respects, I just don't understand how or why they did this the way they did? This was all so inevitable? So is it because it does work for JP at least? I just struggle to believe that this wasn't design to work... somewhere? somehow?( Even if not for EU.)
But I don't undersand? I thought the bodychecks were bad enough, but to put Ultimate BiS gear in here? Couldn't they just make it a Shiny weapon or some gear reskins?

After playing for four years I unsubbed about 2 months ago. (pretty unhappy, lot of good reasons. cant be bothered to repeat anymore than you want to hear)
Then I resubbed about a month ago, but cancelled it the moment I resubbed to let it run out again.
Worked hard to be ready for Chaotic.
]Cleared Ex3. Hated the farms and went back to polishing Ex2 and Ex3 practices parties.
Got my gear to 723.
(spent an absolute fortune on 80 Roast Chicken)

I had loads of fun in Chaotic in Light DutyFinder on 24th. LOADS of fun. Got to P2 in about 2 1/2 hours login time. Knew most of the P1 mechs well, even if not consistent. The ones I didn't know, I just didn't know that I didn't know.

Raved about it to all those casual friends who'd resubbed (nothing to do with me) just before Christmas also. They said "lets set something up for new Chaotic 'Alliance'?".
The top 10 ranked ultimate raider, (one of the rankings I wont say which) in my now dead community piped in to warn them it was hard. Properly savage hard. And they were absolutely right to do so. They weren't just being gatekeeping. We'd been speculating just days before with them how hard it would be. (Yoshi, you should have just said, "its 'above' entry level Savage. Its tough." Not "It requires communication". You know what we want to know. You know why. Just say it. Lot of already disappointed people, more disappointed. This is basic 'relations'.)
Those friends were barely logging in even though they'd been unsubbed much longer that me. Its clear they came back for 'the new type of "Alliance"' And needless to say they never tried Chaotic in the end.

I Came back on 26th AM.
DF was dead.
Spent a whole day in PF. A whole day. Made no more progress. 3 pull abandon wait, after abandon wait after abandon wait. For much of that I wasn't even yet joining P2 parties. Getting 'absolutely no' useful P1 practice. A phase I've only done for a couple of hours two days ago.
I finally had a great P2 begin party 10:30 PM. In 1 hour got to see P3 transition (sort of ><)
But I still had a horrible day, where barely anyone even said 'hi' in /a or /p chat, (I was joining English language parties) who would then leave abruptly form one or more parties.

Anyway. I'm done. And I really don't every see myself coming back except out of morbid curiosity. Great as the people are in my new communities, I've got no connection to them now, and won't if I return. I won't be geared for high end. I 'will' be bored of casual. (I'm not going to enjoy the next Bozja unless its an Extreme level challenge. I don't enjoy drind unless there is a longer term goal. And I won't be planning on being there long term.)
Yeah we are just done.

My refund of over £70 of cancelled XIV and DT merch came through. Until Chaotic I was able to say "I saw the good in DT and it worked for me", and "I'll take a break but I'll be back, surely?"
But with Chaotic it's clear it's just abuse of my money to subsidise yet more content (suggested by a high end creator) for high end raiders, and made with an eye on creators.

But hey "you can't please everyone", so naturally just focus on high end I guess! lol

Every piece of content (make sure their is a version for High end) variant, criterion (so we gotta have savage with special rewards, you can't just leave them with the challenge)
Relic zones , well make sure they've got a savage but just for them with extra rewards.
Chaotic Savage (F dem casuals) they've still gor original cloud of darkness (even if they've never actually played the team thing because of iLvl.)
Savage, not only are they going to get it but they'll get it when they want it! Can't keep em waiting!
(Yeah we know COVID skipped a relic area, but that's casual, so you can wait)
Want to enjoy casual first too? (Well that's ok because it's casual and F casual. The F stands for Frontloading and it's reserved for High end! Based!)

But hey after a dreadful MSQ that you knew was dreadful, make little effort on an alliance that is a shadow of what alliances used to be, on the black of the previous mediocre non challenges of EW alliance also. Gut Aurum, gut keeper, gut other stuff I can't be bothered to look up the name of.
Gut the jobs because they are there to serve ultimates and loggers after all! (F dem casuals)
We gave you all that solo content! All that text to read in the new beast quest? Hours of fun pressing X! You must enjoy it? We copied it from the last beast quest and you enjoyed that? (Did I?) And all those quest dialog boxes! We spent a whole day choosing which ai to us . (Get back in your box!)
All those Fates to keep you busy! We even gave you the exact same ones you loved from EW! (and ShB, and SB , and HW and ARR)
You can't expect us to invent new mechanics for both High end andv casual. Don't be so selfish. You've got engaging battle content!

The content is fun but not ideal for 24 people in PF and they are pretty miffed because it is not the difficulty that was originally planned.
If anything their thread seems even more consistently negative the ours.

For your question for whom this:

Bis gear they said in the past that they would be looking into alternate ways to get it.
I don’t know if this is the correct way but I give them kudos for trying it.

For the why PF the content.
I genuinely think they really wanted to do a raid that is harder then normal in 24 man and brings people together.
It was probably really planned to be a step up for those who want to try harder content with the idea of raiders helping new people out.
They just completely butchered the finetuning of the difficulty too much into one extreme because they didn’t realize what 24 people means.
I honestly think this is the result of them only testing things in a test environment because no way they had 24 of their people doing this thing normally and thought “yes, this is the correct difficulty”.

I don't think it's a deep mystery. They either screwed up, are cloth-eared, or assume they know better than the players who predicted most of the problems with this fight when the true difficulty was revealed in the LL.
