[Suggestion] Better UX regarding connections and such

Not sure if this is the proper place to ask for these types of suggestions (as its more of a UX rather than a UI thing) but here's the thing.

As of today (patch 7.15), we don't have a proper way (which doesn't require using the CMD or external software) to see how much ping we have with the server we're currently using. This is how it looks on FFXIV:

However, most games do have a more readable way to see which is your connection status in ms (picturing GW2 and Overwatch, the quickest examples I could grab right now):

As a suggestion, could we have a proper visual way (such as the icon actually showing the quality of the connection a la Discord or having a proper "Latency: 14ms") to see the ping to the server we're currently connected with?

It is external software, but you can type "Resource Monitor" into the Windows search bar and click Network. If you scroll down to TCP it will show Latency to programs including FFXIV.

Unfortunately, this wouldn't work for Playstation or Xbox players.
