    The teleport debuff is also really horrible to do on controller. When you let go off your stick it tends to move a little bit. So it changes direction a tiny amount. When you're on a curved platform, aiming for the main platform, where there's seed circles to avoid you can't have it move a little. They need to add a bit more time to resolve that one so i can properly stand still and aim it.

    The hand mechanic is fine for me now, but i imagine it is ping dependent, and yeah if you hesitate at all you're boned. If you do it too early, you're right in it. Really just a frustrating mechanic that isn't a matter of knowing how to solve it, its more about the exact timing.

    Edit: the most frustrating thing is how because it's 24 people, and it's PF. its consistently like 3-6 pulls before one person leaves, and then people just follow suit and leave. Incredibly frustrating.

    I reviewed some videos of it and noticed it appears where ever you are when it's at 1 second remaining. This is also when the Heavy debuff is applied. Then the AoE appears and disappears quickly. Overall it seems to be about 3 seconds, the standard timeframe they give for things. You can probably go based on the Heavy debuff being applied.

    I think you're confused about the mechanic then tbh. because it definitely doesn't lock in the hand position when you get the heavy. it locks in basically when the aoe appears.

    When I did it I didn't really understand that it changed to front/back and guessed it was a snapshot thing that was causing it to be inconsistent.

    What I said was just based on the videos I looked at to see where the beginning of the AoE was. Maybe they had high ping. I just looked at another one with low ping and theirs seems to snapshot when the debuffs expire.

    In any case, it shouldn't be a problem if players move in the correct direction when the countdown is almost up until after the AoE. It's more of a problem for wanting 100% uptime but that design philosophy led to Endwalker and its giant hitboxes.
