Yoshi P says a lot of things, not calling him a liar, but his timing surely is different than a lot of us... When he mentions something and then two expansions later we're still looking.... I like the work he has done, but he is in the business to make money for SE and will say what is needed to be said to make the masses happy..<snip> Yoshi-P did promise an uptick in rewards for players, and more player rewards is generally a good thing. So I guess that promise is kinda being worked on.
Now, all these rewards behind an experimental bit of content where the longevity is not a given... thats definitely a questionable choice.
Funny since Discord was CREATED because of FF11 and the lack of hand holding there.. I can't believe he would think Discord would be a third party app when it was created for one of their games. :/
I also agree with you, this content is NOT the type of content to be long lasting, it will die away like Eureka and Bozja sadly... There is NO way that PF will support this after all the 'gamers' have run it to their heart content... Then the new and upcoming users will get shafted for content they paid for but will be difficult to manage. Even now the que times are tough, can you imagine how it will be when the 'gamers' are done with it?
It is fine if they keep releasing this content. The big mistake here is Chaotic dropping pieces better than 8-man Savage. The substats should be the same as the Savage tier, just like Criterion Savage weapons.
Why is that a problem?
Savage shouldn't be put on some pedistal as the end all, nor do I think it really matters that you can get a .001% damage boost from getting this gear. Its not like its even replaced the savage gear every bis I see uses a mix of all 3 sets.
Not sure if this is a typo, but Dissord was created for ff14 and league of legends, not ff11. Interestingly, before making Discord was in development, the creator had actually made a third party program for this game called Guildwork that added a lot of chat options and qol for crafting and gather and stuff.
Multiple ways to get BiS is good. Getting BiS from only two sources is freaking boring cuz you run the same 4 things on repeat. You cannot tell me with a straight face that you would rather repeat the same things over and over rather than having a bunch of different things to do.
BiS should drop from tomes, savage, chaotic, alliance, AND criterion.
Player
Elitism at its finest. What's wrong with multiple ways to gear up?
