    I'll agree. They need to finally decide which group they're going to cater to and tell the rest "Sorry, this game isn't for you". Like how the Souls games have the courage to tell slower player "We aren't for you, play something else."
    When you try to give attention to everybody, especially with how long content is taking to develop now, nobody's happy.

    So I also want to give my feedback on this.

    I think in itself the raid is fun. It has cool mechanics that are kinda quick too learn and till now (start of phase 2) most stuff is good to do.

    That said.
    The difficulty in my opinion is too high.
    This is straight up savage level for something that should have been Ex level for 24 man.
    It does leave a bad taste after savage, an ultimate and whatever criterion was that we have now yet another content for high end raiders instead of midcore.
    It will devolve into a pure Discord thing in the future.

    24 people is also hell to get and even more hell to keep.
    Far too easy for a few to wipe everything and to leave the party. I think with 24 people a tone down of the punishment with the doom would have been good.

    In phase 1 the hand mechanic while not hard can be an utter nightmare with the netcode and bad ping.

    The visual clutter can be quite... a lot sometimes.

    All in all while the idea is good the difficulty for the next raid could need a slight tone down. We need more midcore content on Ex level at most and not yet another savage fight for the high end raider players.
    Also and I am sorry to say that but the community is not good enough (personality not skill) for that.
    It's the first day and I am already seeing raidplans for the entire fight or higher Ilvl demands than necessary leaving out newer players who didn't dip into this content before and for whom I think it was originally intended to be given the bonus system.
    And I imagine this will only get worse the later it gets.

    I mean I expected RDM to be more wanted because of that exact reason lol.

    My issue is that I wish they didn't decide to release this on what I consider a really stupid time: Christmas week when a lot of people are not even playing, some not even going to be back until New Year's. Saw maybe one of the big streamers streaming this morning and that was about it. Not to mention there wasn't much in this patch to begin with, so a lot of people won't even bother to get on. The only item that you can't get without running it is the one mount. If the timing affects numbers enough that they see it's low, I consider that a failure, regardless how good the raid actually is.

    I love it. I woke up to go prog blind, found a PF group and we all hopped in a throwaway Discord server for voice chat. 5 hours later, they are still there and more people joining after I left to focus on Christmas with family. 18 people in voice chat having fun and enjoying the content. Maybe it’s the Christmas spirit or something, but progging this today in PF just made my day.

    It's incredible they made this mistake for the 2nd time... First by having regular Criterion be savage difficulty, now with a new what is essentially a 24-man trial, which is a great idea, but they forget 24 players is a nightmare to coordinate, especially in a game where alliance design philosophy has been "you will be carried if you mess up don't worry" for 10+ years.

    They don't realize there are more than turbo casuals and hardcore raiders desiring content to run.

    I'm finding this almost as bad year 1 DR. Asking me to run challenging content with a group of players who were taught by your shit MSQ and Alliance gameplay that they don't need to learn to play well.

    I do agree the difficulty goes too wildly in either direction.

    But there is a very good reason they decided to make this content. BA and DRS are still done to this day, and Bozja CEs and their raids were very popular as well. Given people have managed to continue doing BA and DRS to this day, it made sense to make more of this sort of content since they may appreciate more variety than those they have been doing since 2019 and 2021.

    There's also argument to be made that, although it may be hard to setup the content, once a successful run is organized, a lot more players benefit from it than do 8-person and a person might feel a bit less of a burden in terms of perfection when they are just 1 out of 24 people, provided they are actually trying.

    My understanding is they intended it to be extreme level but it ended up early savage level. So they underestimated how difficult it would end up but it's hard to change something so chaotic and it's hard to be sure how players will interpret it (we could, even now, eventually conclude it's easier than it has seemed on day 1 when we later sync down to max ilvl and have more efficient strats).

    Didn't actually see people struggling an unreasonable amount in my party considering we were blind progging. We were able to get to phase 2 pretty quick and even as people got replaced due to sleeping, the people that joined were pretty good at phase 2. But phase 2 is rough, chaotic and also random so it's not unreasonable that it was killing them since it takes getting used to and building muscle memory.

    There's a lot to juggle in phase 2 even when you're putting in a good effort. For example, as a tank you're getting stacks and need to swap, whilst also doing knockback immunity and watching the environment, whilst doing your rotation, and watching for your deathhand timer, and being ready to be at your position for stacks and floodrays. And much of that can happen in a random order.

    If the people joining were MSQ players, they'd probably be stuck at phase 1 getting cleaved by the melee area AoE and dying to the very first 2 mechanics in phase 2, but what I saw was a good effort for what was new content, completely blind guessing mechanics, with no muscle memory.
