    Don't do chaotic raid again

    There is nothing less fun than depending on 23 other people to not screw up
    The playerbase has shown it cannot handle 24 man content when it's even simple stuff like regular alliance raids
    It's an absolute mess in chaotic


    Edit: Clarifying my post:

    The simple fact is the average PF player is not consistent enough for content of this size.
    The average PF player is barely consistent enough for 8 man content. Put 24 of them in a group together, and you can guarantee that at least one person every pull is going to mess up and snowball things into a wipe.
    It's really not fun at all.

    and yes I've already cleared the fight, it's not a skill issue (on my part)

    I know you're probably not used to actually having to prog a fight, considering the 1-shot-ability of most the other content in this game, but here's a little insight: Blind Savage prog is a mess until things are figured out.

    The content not being for you is perfectly fine. Saying we should never get this chaotic mess of fun again because of your impatience is not. Sit down.

    I think it's really fun. But I think when there's lots of guides out, it'll be better for more organized regions that use consistent macro positions for mechanics because NA plays chess with waymarks to figure out positions, wastes a load of time and then forgets their position that changed every party.

    I think being able to carry a certain % of people is good because that was what made Bozja work. As it stands people need to know and be able to do mechanics, but you can have a small amount of mistakes at any given moment and still get through with vulns, damage downs, bleeds or rez, so it doesn't seem like it has to be flawless. Just can't overdo mistakes or it has a domino effect.

    The third phase is crazy though and might stand in the way of that. I have hope that efficient strats will be ironed out for it but we'll see.

    This fight will be dead in PF after the initial rush and then good luck to get a clear outside of raiding discords who are just going to organize it for the bonus hour runs anyway or you gonna stare at gatekept PFs.

    havent seen the whole fight yet but i do think the first third / half was a lot of fun to prog.
    yes prog is usually the most fun in this game. we had like 14 people available though. it was a nice mix from casuals to raiders. so we filled only the other 10 spots with randoms.

    and even though we had people leave several times because they all have different plans today, barely anyone else left so we went bqck in pretty fast everytime.

    I would say that players are so starved for content they jump on anything, even if it's clearly not made for them. High difficulty content is fine, but alongside other thing. When it's the only thing you get in months, it's doomed to create some frustration.

    In my opinion whether or not they should do this content again should wrest on how popular it is, and I am not just talking about immediate popularity, but general popularity across the course of several months. In another way, is this content that can, for the long-term stand on its own two feet, or is it going to be a case of DRS/BA where it wrests near entirely on Discords to function in the long term.

    It should in no way, shape or form wrest entirely on whether 23 other people cannot mess up. This is a dangerous way to slowly take an MMO into a state where it is bereft of soul. - Where heaven forbid failure occurs, and heaven forbid where people need to cooperate in an MMO to reach a common goal.

    I don't think this content is a bad choice, honestly.

    I just think the difficulty was set too high and should be adjusted for future raids.
    What's particularly lacking in FF14 is content between normal and extreme difficulty.

    I believe it would have been better to make it more accessible than a savage-level raid.
    It's a shame that Square Enix missed the opportunity to create 24-player content that's accessible to everyone.

    I'm convinced this content would have been more successful if it had truly been positioned between normal and extreme difficulty.

    Especially since we don’t really have much content, and only experimented players enjoyed themselves with patch 7.1.
