On phone so can't wait but I meant with my post stuff that isn't gear, wanted to clarify.

I love it. I woke up to go prog blind, found a PF group and we all hopped in a throwaway Discord server for voice chat. 5 hours later, they are still there and more people joining after I left to focus on Christmas with family. 18 people in voice chat having fun and enjoying the content. Maybe it’s the Christmas spirit or something, but progging this today in PF just made my day.
Pay your surgeon very well to break the spell of ageing.
I just accept that not every piece of content they make is for me
It's incredible they made this mistake for the 2nd time... First by having regular Criterion be savage difficulty, now with a new what is essentially a 24-man trial, which is a great idea, but they forget 24 players is a nightmare to coordinate, especially in a game where alliance design philosophy has been "you will be carried if you mess up don't worry" for 10+ years.
They don't realize there are more than turbo casuals and hardcore raiders desiring content to run.
I'm finding this almost as bad year 1 DR. Asking me to run challenging content with a group of players who were taught by your shit MSQ and Alliance gameplay that they don't need to learn to play well.

It's day 1, accept that the majority of people aren't gonna get a day 1 clear in a few hours. Enjoy the prog and happy holidays.
lol what
the content just came out
Hm, this is a challenge. So not only is it unacceptable to criticize the content (get gud) OR to excessively praise it (falseflag troll), it’s also unacceptable to offer a mixed assessment. It’s unacceptable to say that the content is great for hardcore players, but normal players will be abandoned. It’s unacceptable to say it makes a few people very, very happy while not entertaining the majority.
I think I get it. During the time of Stalin, rebuttals against his regime were outlawed. Why? Because rebutting an argument means you’re acknowledging it. Any analysis goes too far. The conclusion: shut up and play the content. End of discussion.
Basically how I'm starting to feel now with DTA lot of people have been praising the new chaotic as being a lot of fun. Given the reactions, this might be the most acclaimed piece of content besides the raid tier. Kudos to Square Enix for giving people what they want.
Also, it’s not about whether content is successful, it’s about winning. As in, your side (hardcore raiders) winning over the casuals who don’t post here. The game could die but you are still winning because you just gotta “get gud” and “stop whining”. FFXI, Guild Wars 1 and classic WoW are still played among the hardcore crowd. They won. There are plenty of games for us regular folk, like retail WoW or “hitting the bar” (MMOs are dead). FFXIV isn’t for us and that’s fine. “Get gud or get out”, as they say.
Longer patches. Less casual skilled content (Society dies off in 2 weeks, Custom Deliveries are 10 minutes per week and had to wait 2 more months). Which is normal with the x.1 patch BUT the longer delay patches just make it more exasperated.
Normal Raids were a relative joke because they buffed so many classes because they were scared to nerf Picto but kept the raid difficulty as is.
Waiting until 7.2 and new tomestone gear for the Alliance after watching Mr. Happy's guide and going "I'm not floor warming 50% of the Shadowlord fight and getting 1 shot/bleeding to death. I won't be a drag to a raid"
But yeah, if everybody else is liking the higher difficulty (and no, I don't watch a *bleep* other monitor while doing content, I try to focus on healing the others while dodging the more often mechanics now or doing my rotations if I DPS), it's time for slower folks to move on.
I have been enjoying the fight but I think its a bit too punishing for a 24 man. I have had my whole alliance wiped to the beam stacks more than once because one person went to the wrong spot, taking 8 people with em. theres also the hand wich especially malicious aimed ones can kill multiple people too! a tank died? very likely that you will die to autos.
having this much oportunity for pvp is execive in a fight that requieres 24 people and multiple body checks.

I don't think its in Square Enix's best interests to let 'slower folks move on' and frankly that's an awful mindset for an MMO. I don't want my casual friends leaving, I want them to have content to do too, I don't want FC's filled with just Raiders, I want an FC filled with all kinds of players.Basically how I'm starting to feel now with DT
