Nah, chaotic is fun and this is the point of blind prog. Everyone will eventually get things down and it will a breeze. Your loss if you stop doing it.

The simple fact is the average PF player is not consistent enough for content of this size.
The average PF player is barely consistent enough for 8 man content. Put 24 of them in a group together, and you can guarantee that at least one person every pull is going to mess up and snowball things into a wipe.
It's really not fun at all.

There were literally people taking a damn BREAK from this game. We're at the point in this raid tier where you can upgrade your crafted gear with infinitely farmable tomestones and get 730 tomestone gear with the alliance raid coins or infinitely farmable hunt currency.
There is literally no reason to not be 720+ when stepping into the chaotic 24man besides "I couldn't be bothered, teehee".
People also try this out because ilvl 710 basically IMPLIES catch up.
And for your information just in case, I AM >720 just sadly one damn ilvl below 725 that people decide to lock this crap behind for whatever reason because dare me to actually to not play the game for a few weeks because it was just ass in content and coming back BECAUSE I wanted to try chaotic raid just to get filtered in PF by people who don’t want to do what the rewards suggest.
ACTUALLY HELPING PEOPLE CLEAR AND CATCH UP!
Instead here we are in this thread with people even wanting to gatekeep this content from those who didn’t do savage or the latest Ex.

This content is meant to be a stepping stone in difficulty. You can't just jump straight to Chaotic as a casual 'who doesn't even do Extreme' and expect for you or anyone else in the raid to have a good time. You are doing yourself and everyone else a disservice.
Casual > Extreme > Chaotic > Savage > Ultimate.
People should already have to have cleared the previous step in difficulty to do this piece of content. Which would be Extreme clears.
Again. Gatekeeping sucks, but 'some' amount of gatekeeping is not bad either.

When they announced “chaotic alliance raids” did literally anyone want “24 man single boss roughly 1-2 floor of savage” difficulty
Whether the devs actually said it or the community played telephone with it this content seemed to be roughly designed as the stepping stone to extreme, not the stepping stone between 1st and 2nd and 3rd and 4th floor savage
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
That's an entirely separate issue, the fact that the devs are apparently incapable of designing anything but "boss in circle/square arena spamming mechanics at you".Your logic is sound but the bigger problem is who was this content actually designed for

I don't think when we heard Chaotic Alliance Raid that anybody thought it would be a single boss in some arena in the void again, basically another extreme/savage fight but with 24 people.
But that's not a problem exclusive to this particular content, it permeates a vast majority of the game.
Savage? Single boss in symmetrical arena
Extreme? Single boss in symmetrical arena
Ultimate? Single boss in symmetrical arena
Dungeons? Single boss in an occasionally not symmetrical arena
Criterion? Basically another extreme level single boss in a symmetrical arena...but this time it's only 4man

I wasn’t really referring to “single boss in circular void arena” I was referring to the level of the content, I don’t like the single boss in void arena cliche but that’s not really my problem with CARThat's an entirely separate issue, the fact that the devs are apparently incapable of designing anything but "boss in circle/square arena spamming mechanics at you".

Basically the same problem as criterion normal. Did we really need another “different” type of content that also falls into the same range of “hard extreme, first/second floor savage, criterion and now CAR”.

I don't see why anyone new to raiding would do this over just doing m1sThis content is meant to be a stepping stone in difficulty. If someone has no experience in Savage (or even Extreme) then they have no place doing Chaotic. They are simply not skilled/used to content of that level and will be forcing 23 other people to suffer wipe upon wipe because of them.
Chaotic is absolutely not "my first difficult content". Content with this many people demands consistency.
