How about replacing colors with some signs, or geometrical figures? For 7% of male population, affected by red-green color blindness (myself including), it is almost impossible to tell the difference between blue and purple, etc. Thank you.

I haven't kept up with the multitude of dev posts and such, so maybe this has already been explained (or analyzed by players), but:

What is the effect of favored bait?

In my experience, it just means an instant bite upon casting my rod. I haven't done any sort of data collection to determine if there is any other effect (like higher % of a fish type, or any effect on the stamina gauge). Any thoughts?

Using the proper bait increases your odds of catching a fish that favors that bait. Add in proper gear and stats, proper depth and proper rank it increases more. Finally if you go to a fishing hole and use a bait that only ONE of those fish prefer it increases your odds yet a bit more.
