    That's why I suggest limiting it to only certain mounts in S9, specifically things that wouldn't be out of place there and would really fit the vibe. In contrast, in somewhere like Tuliyollal you might be able to mount up on hippo carts, rickshaws, and so on.

    Let us mount in cities, but put in the dismount zones like on the Ninja Warrior towers indoors, and around major areas like the market boards. Let people show off their mounts without being a nuisance.

    Tbf, I feel like being able to forcibly (as part of zoning) or optionally (as part of client-side gameplay customization) limit what one sees to zone-appropriate skins (for mounts, glams, or what have you) would be a huge boon in general...

    GW2 has a "generic model" toggle, so it's not unheard of even if it doesn't look good. Granted, it's more useful in that game because you can combine cosmetics to turn your character into a walking flashbang.

    The last time any mounts worked in a city was what, Rhagr's Reach? Wasn't an issue back then but it seems they don't like mounts in cities now.

    They let us use skateboards but you immediately get chased by outrunner drones that knock you off if they catch you. These drones will gradually gain movement speed the longer you manage to elude them. Once you lose your skateboard you have to rent another in the back alley you got it from.
