    Let me say this, it is hard to compare how Blade and Soul bosses relate to FF14 in terms of mechanics but in talking strictly about the fight pace and mechanic speed (how fast they happen), they are somewhere around Ultimate+.
    The "savage" counterpart is very fast-paced, requires precision in execution as well as class rotation (bosses have hard enrage if you can't DPS), knowledge(muscle memory), and fast reaction time. There are no telegraphs, there is no afking pushing 1 button. Move your feet or die. The combat is extremely punishing and some classes have a very high skill ceiling of entry and mastery but they are also extremely rewarding.


    I really don't see how. You'd be left with only damage output as a metric beyond healing that would essentially vanish.
    If we want something engaging we have to start introducing back a lot of different metrics and variables to the whole system, else it's gonna stay one dimensional.
    Very easy in fact. By giving each class iframes and regen (similar to Bloodbath) inbuilt into some spells to alleviate some of the mistakes and damage taken. Make the combat fast-paced and punishing. I do doubt ff14 can support such a system with the current netcode and how everything works.

    I don't want more button for just be a real bad third zone DPS, i want healing to be a real thing again.... DPS can come after that, but first fix healing (which include a lot of nerf)

    right, but also each class is unique, has 0 button bloat, with 0 homogenization, and 0 burst phase while the fights are difficult, engaging, and rewarding. Pretty much what most of the people in the forums complain about.

    I agree that the healing is important, which is why I want them to also fix the balance of healing on other classes in addition. I also think they could focus on both issues at once.

    It's a old French saying which mean that you shouldn't do two thing at the same time because you'll either fail or do a very poor job, and waste time.

    ^ this x1000. I hate going into harder content as healer because I am clumsy. I am likely to mess up here and there and die. And I know that 1 mistake means it will either end in a run that took too long or one where me and my dps get to watch the tank finish the boss. Those runs are embarrassing in the least and make me want to not queue healer anymore at their worst.

    I can mess up as much as I want on either other role and there's always a way back into the fight. Healer, you get to sit out while someone plays the game for you.

    I also main astro but I say MORE BUTTONS. and less healing buttons that do the same thing. The 1 button spamathon has gone on long enough.
