Yes, it's old and yes we've all seen it already, and the UI has changed significantly since then.

Above, in quotes, please find yet another example of the legendary ciivility and manners in these forums.

Unlike Alhanelem here, I'll thank you, Mijin, for sharing this, since I hadn't seen such a complete description of everything contained in that screenshot. I knew, or had assumed most of it, but still managed to learn a few things heretofore not heard nor read.

At the very least, studying the information gives us a good sense of the comprehensiveness and the difference in focus that the new UI designers are departing from. Even if the design changes, we know what type of a UI they're after.

well i havent seen the exact explanations of the ui yet , thx for your post mijin. i find this thread more helpful then some other totaly random threads in here sometimes.

Ald needs to realize NEW PEOPLE JOIN THIS GAME EVERY DAY

which means, they werent here for the video broadcasts to watch the new Ui being implemented..
and second, i wasnt going to intefere but since this thread has slightly derailed and hasnt been shut down.

your a jerk to the OP, all your doing is criticizing him for putting up screenshots of the UI that is (completely customizable) which means it is far from dated.. how is the ui he shows any different, and wheres your proof? all you have done is insulted him and shown us NOTHING to go based on your opinions.

if your gonna argue on a thread thats not yours, bring something to the table. all the OP did was show some new pictures so he didnt have to BUMP a graveyard thread, which is usually more appreciated by the commmunity, to remind ppl of the awesome changes coming to the game.

until you can show me UI changes to 2.0 that differ drastically from what hes shown us, you dont have a case, and have wrongfully accused OP of doing something wrong.

I don't know how anyone can look at the old (OP) and new pictures and say it's even close to being the same with a straight face. There are many differences, and I listed several of them. I do have a case. It is totally subjective what changes one would call "drastic." Most of the changes are additional or changed functionality. There is also some additional information. Little has been removed, so the guide pics are not totally irrelevant- but dated is still a completely fair word to use. The pics do not explain any of the new features that have been introduced since then (because SE doesn't have a time machine.) As far as what I consider drastic, the ability to see other people's cast time bars, and currently executing actions is a HUGE change- one of the biggest. But I'm calling a post from you in the next 5 minutes stating "not drastic, you have no case" even though it's a subjective opinion debate.

I haven't wrongfully accused anyone of anything. I myself am the one being wrongfully accused. I accept that saying "we've all seen this before" is an unlikely assumption, but I was actually predicting if I didn't say this, someone else would- because the simple fact is it's not new. I'm very surprised at the number of people claiming to have never seen it before, because it was posted on these forums, the very original screenshot was in the original PDFs released when 2.0 was announced and appeared on most of the sites that ever covered FFXIV at all. Suprise doesn't change the truth, of course, so it was wrong of me to make such a bold assumption. I do consider that a mistake.

well said.. but i still dont see any huge changes in the screenshots in the op to the 2? maybe 3 new screenshots with UI changes in them.. again this is all customizable, so the UI is fairly up in arms of whats going to happen. who knows

maybe well have ubercustomization <- not a real word, i knows.

but in either case, thank you for not taking my words with a grain of salt, that was appreciated.
