Yes, it's old and yes we've all seen it already, and the UI has changed significantly since then.
Just look at the screenshots on the official site. You know, the ones that have been released to every media outlet when E3 hit...
I guess when you live under a rock, you can miss things like this.
The biggest change is to the party display. Your EXP bar is shown at the top (and it's in fact the line that seperates "Solo/Light party/Full party" from the list of party members; The buff icons look drastically different, and your own TP is shown there; The UI now shows actions being currently executed by party members- if they're casting a spell, you can see their cast time bar; Crafting is apparently seeing significant changes; while on a crafting class, instead of an MP and TP bar, you have a CP (crafting points) bar. Unknown how it's actually used.

I see very little that looks different.
Considering people make comments on here every day like "what are the dots on the bottom right for." I hardly think this threads that inappropriate. Before you make another edgy post about how mad you are that I would have he audacity to share something with the public, take into consideration that I don't care about your opinion first.

I just listed many of the ways that it's different. If you don't see much that looks different, then I don't mean to offend but you're not very observant.
You edited that post and added that information, at the time I made my last remark it wasn't there. Everything you mentioned is cosmetic, and none of it changes the descriptions given in the OP so I don't know what your point is. I guess you're just a rebel with out a cause.

Explain to me how a totally new stat for crafters is cosmetic? You edited that post and added that information, at the time I made my last remark it wasn't there. Everything you mentioned is cosmetic, and none of it changes the descriptions given in the OP so I don't know what your point is. I guess you're just a rebel with out a cause.
Explain to me how information being displayed that wasn't displayed before is cosmetic?
Also, you didn't ask for different functionality. You just asked how it was different. It doesn't matter if it's "just" cosmetic. Many of the changes affect useability.
That "rebel without a cause" thing doesn't even make sense. I'm not "rebelling" against anything, and I do have a cause- to inform you of two things: 1) that you posted old news, and 2) that there are actually things that have changed since then. Just because the changes aren't things you care about doesn't make them not changes.

Well Mr. Snarky, I hadn't seen it yet. I've seen the UI but not the explanations for it. And even though it's changed significantly since then, I must admit even if they had gone with this particular UI I would have been quite happy with the outcome. I've always found it to look very cool.
Above, in quotes, please find yet another example of the legendary ciivility and manners in these forums.
Unlike Alhanelem here, I'll thank you, Mijin, for sharing this, since I hadn't seen such a complete description of everything contained in that screenshot. I knew, or had assumed most of it, but still managed to learn a few things heretofore not heard nor read.
At the very least, studying the information gives us a good sense of the comprehensiveness and the difference in focus that the new UI designers are departing from. Even if the design changes, we know what type of a UI they're after.
Thanks again,
R
