i cant try this now, im on Win 10, fresh installed on a blank SSD, im also downloading the game again right now on a separate blank SSD, if this doesnt work nothing will.
on win 10 im fully updated, i only have the lastest GPU driver, no Nividia software, i assume my bios havent changed even if my Windows has.
ill come back if it still crashes, i dont have hope that this will fix anything.
ok i can confirm starting over from nothing with Win 10 and downloading the game from fresh did not fix anything it still crashes with the same error code, like seriously? if i bought a new pc new SSD new everything, and install FF14 like anyone else would and it just doesnt work?? it cant be my RTX 3060 GPU, its brand new, what else could it be? i dont think installing the game on my windows SSD will change anything.
is there some kind of option i need to turn off in Nvidia control panel or in win 10 itself?
even if i switch back to my RTX 2050, its more stable but i still randomly get the error code, i would like to use this GPU since it will allow me to play on max graphics.
OK, then try following:
1. download Hwinfo Portable: https://www.hwinfo.com/download/
2. start it with "Sensors only"
3. Create a log. There are buttons in the bottom of the window.
4. play so for 20 minutes or until the game crashes.
5. upload the log somewhere so i can look into it. You can also zip it if it gets too big.
Cheers
ok i tried this, whats weird tho is when the game crashes directx error 11000002, it also force closes Hwinfo.exe, but i guess it still made info even if i didnt stop it myself.OK, then try following:

also if i dont delete the ff14.cfg file in documents the game can crash after the title screen, doesnt even let me login my character into the world, its almost like its a crash timer from launch.

Then it's a hardware issue. You can try checking your RAM by using "memtest". It will show you if one of your RAM Module is faulty. Another idea is to check the RAM Settings in the BIOS. I had issues with the XMP Profile. After deactivation (which is bad but necessary when the RAM is faulty) the System was stable.ok i can confirm starting over from nothing with Win 10 and downloading the game from fresh did not fix anything it still crashes with the same error code, like seriously? if i bought a new pc new SSD new everything, and install FF14 like anyone else would and it just doesnt work??
i would try this but i dont know where or how to do a Memtest, my Bios says im using 2x 16Gb which is correct, but idk where to check XMP Profile. Then it's a hardware issue. Time was that BIOSes had built in memory testing utilities, now though you have to use an actual tool, like Memtest86 which conveniently has a step by step tutorial video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDCk04hgVEk
You can use the Windows Search Bar to search for Memtest. Comes right up for me.
XMP is usually adjustable in the BIOS. You probably know how to bring the BIOS up at this point, but it says which button to press when the PC boots up (it flashes over it very quickly). Then on the next boot you just press that button before it progresses to loading windows.
Memtest is a small tool which needs to boot up on a bootable device like an USB Stick:

If you are too lazy to use memtest, then take out one RAM Module, boot up the computer and start the game. If it still crashes, replace the RAM with the other one. If it still crashes, the RAM is probably not the problem.
