Probably controversial to say here, but I'm gonna bite the bullet anyways. YoshiP basically admitted in an old EW LL that Hildibrand quests were costly to make and they barely managed to squeeze it into EW with their budget (definitely not a direct quote). Since then, I've personally been in favor of them cutting down Hildi content or getting rid of it altogether in favor of that cost going to other, more important, forms of content that we may end up doing repeatedly. I'd be more forgiving if they added at least one more trial for that same reason, but given the pattern since HW I highly doubt we're going to see that kind of change, since people can't let go of their XIV-themed Cocomelon.

After all the complaints about no content they keep promising us more stuff and cutting it back more and more. what is going on at SE...? are they bankrupt or something. where is our sub money going?! like i have been looking forward to this since DT released and all i get is 1 quest?

I mean it's, what? 1 quest down from 2. It isn't really that significant. 1 quest or 2 quests it honestly doesn't matter since once they are done, that is it... They are done.

For people like you the game is going to hell, first it's a quest, then they're going to do trials, dungeons, ex, and savage

Enough of celebrating everything, get rid of that mentality that ffxiv is better, no, it's not, it was but that's over now. There are few of us who try to make the devs continue to make an effort, but as long as players like you continue to applaud their minimal efforts then I don't see a good reason to be paying 13 dollars monthly

I recall this Hildibrand thing being a thing the "Fans wanted more of" and they graced us with more of this. I would really want to know if its because of a huge outcry from the fanbase or because the devs just want to push this on us.

It was because fans wanted it. They remarked before how they kept getting asked about it.

In relation to the OP, IIRC the prologue arc for each expansion's Hildy is normally pretty short. It's the continuation that starts to get longer.
