This is one of my favorite pieces on my characters in LotRO. I've always liked backpacks in games. I'm totally all for this. Whether it's functional or just cosmetic.

Backpacks on the person while a cool idea, in the first couple of Ragnarok online 2 Gates of the world you could put on backpacks. I don't remember if they gave more slots or anything, but they did look cute.

I would be more interested in my Chocobo having saddle bags to hold all my other gear. make it so he can hold 2 back packs each one holds 100 slots or something and he can carry 200 slots.

I do believe in 2.0 we will be back at 100 slots so having a chocobo with bags would be pretty sweet.

Definitely up for Chocobos being able to hold gear and items. It would be hilarious/awesome if they made it work like pets in Torchlight which carried items back to town for you, sold them and brought the money back lol.

How about adding backpacks as their own separate inventory? Then you can have one for gear, one for food, one for mats, one for this, one for that... Perhaps there could be a limit of how many bags you could carry, too? Like, you can only have one backpack, one belt bag, one on your boot, etc, etc... and each has a limit on items/weight? Or you can only have two bags at a time but you can pick combinations of backpack/boot or belt/boot?

Would make sense to have a limit, yeah. Also have you guys noticed that there's an unused slot in the gear menu? It raises hope for something like this in the future imo. O:
