Wind-up Philos/ Wind-up Aidoneus Virtually Unobtainable via Normal Methods

SE Team, the referenced two minions are now nearly in the "Heavensward Hunting Hawk" level of rarity. Not only are these extremely rare maps drops, but the maps that drop the minions aren't ran by the community. If I recall, previous maps can't be unsynched which means it's not solo-able. While these minions are available on the marketboard, the prices (due to the extreme rarity) are well beyond what I would assume would be standard player affordability.

Please consider adding these to the Moogle Tome events or another method for acquiring.

The Golden Beaver, and Aidoneus/Philos are going for 40M gil on the MB, while Fallen Angel Wings, Wivre and Ty'aitya are going for 80M, and the 2 Mount Token mounts are going for 20M gil.

Which makes sense because no-one wants to do non-current side content and then they complain that the game's dead.

Hopefully in a patch or two they'll sell 5.0 packs for GC seals, those would contain the Golden Beaver as a rare drop (but I've gotten the gold Namazu from the 4.0 packs several times). In the very long term that should eventually happen to Aidoneus and Philos too.

There are 16 tradeable mounts in Shadowbringers, 2 of these would be exempt from the Materiel Container due to being intended as gil dumps.
According to Universalis, the Magicked Bed goes for around 1.5 million gil, Construct 14 for 1.6 million, the Faux mounts are going for 8.5 million, Gabriel Mark III for 14 million, and Deinonychus for 19 million.
There are 40 tradeable minions in Shadowbringers.
According to Universalis, the Ancient One and Drippy go for around 1 million gil, the Faux minions are going for 7 million, and the Golden Beaver is 45 million gil.


There are 17 tradeable mounts in Endwalker. 2 of these would be exempt from the Materiel Container due to being intended as gil dumps.
According to Universalis everything other than the Alkonost and Peerifool go for over a million gil. I'm not going to list them.

Keep running maps until you get them, or farm gil until you can buy them. You've been playing since 2013, you should have more than enough gil. I used to sell them for 14-18 mil at the begining of this year.

Not saying I agree with them but maps are genuinely the lowest form of content in this game. They're beyond dull and boring and I would never associate any of them with the word accomplishment.

In isolation, you could say that about almost every part of the game. But taken all together, this is what makes up the whole "there being stuff to do with your friends when you feel like it". Playing FFXIV is on the whole not an edge seeking competitive sport, so 'accomplishments' are more a way of keeping score of what you've been doing with your time.
