Not saying I agree with them but maps are genuinely the lowest form of content in this game. They're beyond dull and boring and I would never associate any of them with the word accomplishment.
In isolation, you could say that about almost every part of the game. But taken all together, this is what makes up the whole "there being stuff to do with your friends when you feel like it". Playing FFXIV is on the whole not an edge seeking competitive sport, so 'accomplishments' are more a way of keeping score of what you've been doing with your time.
Luck is not accomplishment
If you take pride in doing the same map 20k times (on average) for that one lvl 70 map achievement, re-evaluate your life choices.
The treasure map dungeons definitely could use being doable unsynced, so you don't need to find a group for past expansions maps.
You don't need a full group of 8, you need like 3 people.
Treasure dungeons aren't going to be given the unsynced treatment for the same reason why Variant/Criterion dungeons aren't getting it.
I've always thought map rng should drastically improve the older the maps get
I've done a lot of roulette maps in ShB and EW, but my portals never ended up on one of the silver tiles where the minion is from >_> <_<
Theyre supposed to be extremely rare. I've only seen the golden beaver once and never seen the endwalker dolls at all. I prefer it this way. Makes them special
