So... Where are everyone?

I play at Behemoth (on Primal) and I don't know why, but this server, that once felt so lively, with so many players active, now is that way:



Limsa aetherite plaza monday at 22:45 BST (17:45 PST). And it feels empty. I can even see the grass neat aetherite and can hear city state song (no bard is playing).



The corridor showing how empty is that corridor. Until Endwalker, that passage were always packed with characters. There were always someone showing something. But now its just few characters. Way less than before.



There are so few characters here that you can actually see the retainer post. Even as Lalafell.

What is actually happening? Everyone traveled to Balmung? Or the silent ones is leaving?

could be several reasons why. most common would probably be from DC travel restrictions for almost 6 month post launch leading to ppl xfering over to one of the open aether servers atm, to those camping out on the DC at the late nite/early morning hours for days or weeks at a time, or to the current state of the game are probably the most common of reasons you'll probably find. but could be any number of reasons why since i myself recently had to xfer over to aether myself from primal since my friend circle is entirely on aether and with it locked off to xfers from DT launch to about a month ago with 7.1 i quickly swapped over as to not be locked out of it again to not make my entire friends circle be inconvenienced just because i was the only one that wasn't able to roll on the DC at the time. is my own reason for leaving primal in the first place.

idk I've never been to primal so I can't say much, but that seems pretty lively to me
is it usually like balmung or something?

I heard a lot of RPers were going to Dynamis because of the DC travel locks on other data centers that interfered with arrival to events.

Then we have raiders, who obviously want to get to Aether if they can.

Maybe the people in Limsa are actually not in Limsa today or are doing content.

And finally, it's nearly Christmas. Most people spend that time with their families, taking holidays.

I'm away on other games until a meatier patch drops or an expansion with more substance is made. My FFXIV vacation so happens to be taking place on Steam games I retired in lieu of the MMO, so now it's my turn to put the MMO on the back-burner and go play something else. Not feeling it with Dawntrail.

That's still a decent amount of people compared to worlds not Seraph, Kraken and Hali on Dynamis.

Most folks I know are hopping off FFXIV until the meaty content rolls in like exploration zone, cosmic, or relic, so likely not until 7.2/7.3. In future expansions they really need to front load at least 1 of the beefier content by x.05/x.1, current drip feed aint working too well...

I believe it’s due to lack of content if you’re not into savage / ultimate raiding.

I play on Behemoth and that must be very early morning. I see lots of peeps in Limsa and Alot of travelers from Dynamis.
